However, they are not getting married in the near future. Luke and Kristen had previously explained that their wedding plans were put on pause as they prepared to welcome their daughter, Kaia Lily Broderick, who was born in June.Â
Kristen spoke with The Daily Dish in May, where she admitted that they have “zero” plans in place to get married.
“We’ll probably start talking about that next year. It could happen next year,” Kristen said of her wedding.
“I don’t know,” she added. “I don’t want to wait too long, but I think we need to settle into being parents and this whole chapter of our lives and really know what we’re doing before we try to plan anything else.”

During Part 3 of The Valley Season 2 reunion, Kristen gave some insight into the beginning of her relationship with Luke. Although Kristen knew that she liked Luke when she first met him, she revealed that she didn’t want to like him too much.

“I would say for the first six or seven months, I was very, very much into him, but very much like, ‘I don’t want to be.’ It’s what I do. I jump from relationship to relationship,” she told host Andy Cohen. “And we didn’t live by each other, and it was all of the logistics where I was like, ‘Nothings gonna work. But this is gonna be super fun.'”

Luke also shared his own side of the relationship during the reunion, revealing the moment he knew that Kristen was “the one.”
“It was a long road trip we did,” he said.Â
“There were 5,000 miles in the car with four dogs. It was pretty hellish,” he continued. “And we were great during the entire thing. Never got after each other. And on the way back, it was a moment that’s like, ‘Holy s—t, am I ever gonna find somebody that could get through this kind of chaos with me?’ Might as well lock her down.”

The couple continued, admitting that Luke was the first to say “I love you” to Kristen pretty early on in their relationship. Kristen also revealed that he was the first person to tell her “I love you” first in a relationship, ever.

“Honestly, I backtracked after I said it,” Luke recalled, laughing. “I’m like, ‘You know, I really have love for you. I’m not like in love with you.’
How did Kristen Doute meet Luke Broderick?
Kristen and Luke first met at a friend’s wedding in June 2022, where she was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman. They made things official between them later that year.

Now, three years since their meeting, Kristen and Luke have a 2-month-old daughter together, and they could not be prouder parents. The couple just recently celebrated Kaia turning 2 months old, taking to their Instagram Story, where they posted photos of their baby crying in front of her “2 months” sign.
They also marked this special occasion with taking Kaia on her very first flight. In photos posted to Kristen’s Instagram Story, Kaia can be seen sleeping in her car seat on the way to the airport, before being fed in Kristen’s arms once they were on the flight. They were also able to hang out with Kaia poolside, taking her for her “first swim” this month.
Does Kristen Doute want more kids with Luke Broderick?
Kristen wants more kids, but she admitted that there are a number of factors to consider. “I want another one,” Kristen said on an Aug. 11 episode of their podcast.
“It stresses me out to think about getting pregnant right now,” she continued. “I am loving my time with this baby, and I’m still with this baby, with our baby, and I’m still trying to deal with postpartum and being in my fourth trimester, and the thought of getting pregnant right now is insane. So I can’t answer that question in a positive way.”
“I think it’s like the stress that I’m 42, we did go to a fertility doctor,” she admitted. “I want to manifest and have high hopes, like it’s not going to be that hard the second time around, and we could possibly do the same route that we did this time. It’s just, I think it’s just a lot of stress to think about right now. So I want to be asked in a few months.”
