Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick are still together today amid their “issues with intimacy.” The Valley cast members and engaged couple welcomed their daughter, Kaia Lilly Broderick, into the world in June 2025, but have struggled with getting their spark back throughout The Valley Season 3.

Kristen spoke with The Daily Dish in March, where she admitted that viewers will get an up-close look at the struggles in their relationship throughout The Valley Season 3, after opening up about it in Season 3, Episode 1. But she doesn’t want anyone to think differently about them or their relationship because of this.
“Luke and I are clearly having issues with intimacy and figuring out being new parents, but I feel very protective over him when I watch it back because it’s something we were both going through and something,” she explained. “Luke could never, ever understand what it was like to be me as a new mom, but I, in turn, could never understand what it’s like to be a first-time dad.”
“So I really hope people take it easy on him and give him some grace,” she added. “Yeah, it’s really hard.”
Kristen Doute reveals her wedding plans with Luke Broderick
After getting engaged during The Valley Season 2, Kristen got pregnant and gave birth to Kaia. Thus, putting a pause on their wedding plans. Kristen revealed that they are now taking their own time with their wedding planning process, explaining that “there are no plans right now because of the baby.”
“I think, eventually, after she’s a year old, hopefully that’ll be the moment we can breathe again,” she noted. “It’ll just be thinking about where we want to raise her because it will not be in LA, but we’re not trying to leave here like tomorrow by any means. So just looking ahead in the next few years about where we wanna put our roots.”

Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick open up about the struggles in their relationship
Luke had previously opened up about their relationship issues during The Valley Season 3, Episode 1, where he sat down with Jesse Lally and revealed that they had not been having sex. “Our relationship is completely lacking intimacy,” he said. “It should be something that we should be able to talk about, and we haven’t, really.”
Kristen also sat down with Nia Sanchez Booko during the episode, where she admitted to hating her body after pregnancy and not being in the mood for sex. “We’ve always had a really healthy sex life. And it was pretty regular,” she explained in a confessional. “But sex made a baby, and now sex doesn’t exist.”
