While perfecting her hairstyle for Vicki Gunvalson’s ’80s-themed Bunco party during the premiere of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 6 — also known as RHUGT: Roaring 20th — fellow cast member Lisa Barlow joked that she was trying to achieve the height of Teresa’s “iconic” $10,000 updo from her and Louie’s wedding ceremony that was featured on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13.
“I don’t know if it’s a Jersey saying, but the higher the hair, the closer to God,” Teresa remarked in a RHUGT confessional, reflecting on her and Louie’s special day. “And so, of course, I wanted my hair to be as high as possible.”

After more than a year of dating, Louie and Teresa got engaged in Greece in October 2021, with his proposal featuring sparklers, a violinist, and a fireworks display.
The engagement took place just weeks after Teresa and Louie moved into their new Montville, New Jersey, home together.

Also taking part in the ceremony was the couple’s newly blended family: Teresa’s four daughters — Gia, 25, Gabriella, 21, Milania, 20, and Audriana, 16 (with ex-husband Joe Giudice) — as well as Louie’s two sons, Nicholas and Louie Jr.

After they tied the knot, Teresa and Louie honeymooned in Greece, the same country where they got engaged less than a year earlier.

While documenting their evolution as a couple on RHONJ, Teresa navigated plenty of criticism about her new romance, as well as questions about Louie’s past. During a getaway to the Jersey Shore during Season 12, for example, Teresa even claimed to a producer that some of her castmates were trying to “sabotage” their relationship.
“Louie did not sign up for this to be antagonized, to be questioned, anything,” Teresa said in a confessional. “I’m in the public eye, not Louie. He’s the love of my life. Like, I want to protect him.”
Years later, Teresa caught wind of social media rumors that she and Louie were “getting divorced,” which she denied in a November 2025 episode of Jennifer Aydin’s podcast. “We’re not. Fake news,” Teresa insisted on TV Gold with Jennifer Aydin. “Absolutely not.”

Though Louie had asked Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga, for permission to marry his sister (which he gave him), a family feud reignited afterward. As a result, Joe and wife Melissa Gorga did not attend Teresa and Louie’s wedding, and the drama continued to play out on RHONJ.
However, the family reconciled ahead of BravoCon 2025 in November and are still on good terms today. As recently as July 2026, Teresa shared an Instagram photo of her and Louie with her brother and sister-in-law, adding the Italian word for family in the caption.

As mentioned, Teresa and Louie’s recent fourth wedding anniversary was no different. Of the carousel of 20 photos that Teresa posted in August 2026, no less than 17 of the images were from their wedding. She began her caption by gushing about how Louie makes her “feel like a queen every single day.”
“Every morning I wake up beside you, I’m reminded how lucky I am,” Teresa continued, in part. “If I had to choose you all over again, I would—365 days a year, forever and always.”
After detailing all of the qualities that she loves about Louie, Teresa concluded her tribute, writing, “Here’s to celebrating us today and to a lifetime of waking up beside each other, laughing together, loving each other, and growing old hand in hand. … Forever isn’t long enough with you.”
