Ariana, now 24, was introduced to Hudson (also now 24) through her older sister, Brielle Biermann, who met him first. “My sister saw him on the beach when we were 14, and we were in Florida. And she saw him on the beach and was like, ‘Oh my God, I need to get your Snapchat and send a picture of you. You’d be the love of my sister’s life,'” she recalled during a June 2025 appearance on the Comments by Celebs podcast.
“She gave me his Snapchat, or whatever, and we talked on Snapchat, and I actually ended up getting grounded for a whole year after sneaking out of my house. And my parents didn’t let me have a life,” she continued. “But my sister took me for my birthday present on my first date with him after we’d been talking for six weeks over Snapchat. And we went there and she took us on a date.”
Ariana also admitted that it was around this time that she discovered that they lived close to each other when they were younger. “I feel like we met when we were 14 officially, but we did live next to each other when we were kids,” she added. “So I’m always like, ‘It was destiny.’ It was put into the stones before we knew.”

Kim took to Instagram in October 2018, where she revealed that Ariana had attended a homecoming dance with Hudson as her date. “My angel [Ariana] is headed to Homecoming with [Hudson],” Kim wrote in the caption of a now-disappeared Instagram post. “Are they not the cutest!!?! They are only a few hours apart and will both turn 17 this week!!”

That same month, both Ariana and Hudson turned 17 years old. Ariana took to her Instagram Story at the time, where she revealed that Hudson surprised her at the front door of her home with a bouquet of flowers. “[Thanks] for the best birthday lover,” she wrote over the photo.
She also posted a selfie of them as they looked straight into the camera, offering up a look at their sweet romance at the time.

Ariana and Hudson split for the first time when they were in high school due to Ariana not being able to spend time with Hudson. “My parents didn’t really let me leave the house a lot growing up at all,” she explained during her 2025 appearance on Comments By Celebs. “And I couldn’t go over and see him. And when he would come over, he would hang out in my driveway. Like, it wasn’t working. That wasn’t going to be able to happen.”
But Ariana admitted that she was grateful for their first breakup. “I feel like we both also just needed to experience dating other people and experience life on our own,” she said at the time. “Because I don’t think we’d be able to be together now for three years if we had been together consecutively for the last nine. Like, that would be crazy.”

Ariana took to her Instagram Story in May 2023, where she revealed that they had been dating each other for “one year.” “Happy one year to the love of my life,” she wrote over an Instagram Story timed to their anniversary “I can’t believe a year has already [passed] like this. Ariana and Hudson shared their plans for going into business with each other on Next Gen NYC Season 1. The then-couple revealed that they wanted to start their own clothing line, Adored Angels, with Hudson giving her “51 percent” of the company. “Hudson and I are starting a clothing line together,” she said during Next Gen NYC Season 1, Episode 2. “This has always been a dream of both of ours. We’ve always talked and bonded about clothes since we were literally 14.”
But by August 2025, Ariana admitted to Bravo Insider that Adored Angels wouldn’t be coming into fruition. “You know, unfortunately, I just don’t think I’m as talented as I thought,” she said. “Like, in all actuality, I think I had this different idea of what I wanted to do, and I just don’t think I can produce the best thing. And so I just want to be honest, and if I’m going to put something out there, I want it to be the best ever. And right now, it’s just not looking too hot.”

“But I don’t want to rush him, you know, make him feel pressure. But he talks about it all the time,” she added. “So I’m like, ‘Stop talking about it and do it or don’t do it.'”

Ariana appeared on the Battle of the Sexes panel at BravoCon 2025, where she revealed that her apartment was in super close proximity to her BFF and Next Gen NYC cast member, Riley Burruss. “I just moved five minutes away from Riley,” Ariana said.

Kim also appeared at BravoCon 2025, where she opened up about her daughter’s breakup with Hudson. “I love Hudson. But they need to grow,” she admitted during the Housewife 2 Housewife: Rumor Spill panel. “They’ve been together on and off for 10 years, and they’re just going in different directions. Ariana is kind of blossoming and doing her thing.”
“This is her dream,” she added. “She’s happy. She’s loving life. She found her confidence and her strength, and she’s away from the chaos back at home. And you know, she just looked at her life and decided that she wanted to go in a different direction.”

Ariana and Hudson both started hinting about their relationship being rekindled in the spring of 2026. While the exes never confirmed that they were seeing each other again, they did sprinkle hints about a possible reconciliation. Hudson took to Instagram on April 20, where he posted a series of photos documenting his life, including a picture of a woman who looked a lot like Ariana in the second slide. “Back and better than ever,” he wrote in the caption of the post, which Ariana liked.

Both Ariana and Hudson spoke with Us Weekly in June 2026, where they hinted at where they stand today. Although they did not confirm if they are now back together, they admitted that viewers will be able to see more of their breakup and the aftermath of it all on Next Gen NYC Season 2. “Obviously, nobody wants to see the person they’ve been with forever with somebody else, and I think that’s going to be tough,” she said. “But what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
Hudson added, “Ariana and I will always be close. Just put on your seat belts and strap in.”
