The Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 midseason trailer teased Hannah Ferrier’s comeback (along with some other familiar faces!), but even amid the happy reunions, multiple storms are brewing on the horizon.
The shocking sneak peek, which you can check out above, features the Below Deck Med Season 11 cast — including Captain Sandy Yawn, Aesha Scott, Nathan Gallagher, Joe Bradley, Chef Joy Lefaucheur, Gen Lillie, Kayley Smith, Kat Johnston, and Cooper Dawson — navigating intense personal and professional conflicts, while also catering to some of the most over-the-top charter guests yet.

Hannah Ferrier returns to Below Deck Med
After serving as chief stew on Below Deck Med Season 1 through 5, Hannah returns for a very special occasion: Aesha’s bachelorette party in Croatia. Judging from Aesha’s reaction — which Hannah hilariously imitates in her confessional comeback — her attendance at the celebration is a total surprise, too.
Nathan Gallagher and Joe Bradley’s feud reignites in a major way
When Nathan temporarily takes leave for a yet-undisclosed reason, Captain Sandy appoints Joe as “acting bosun.” In a confessional, Joe remarks on the “plot twist,” by saying that it may be just as well if he never has to relinquish his new title to Nathan.
That, of course, makes waves between the former close friends. Captain Sandy has to intervene in Nathan and Joe’s drama, upon his eventual return to M/Y Akira One, telling them, “We’ve got three charters left. Stop now.”

Regardless, their conflict continues to escalate to the point where Joe asks Nathan if he’s going to hit him. “Don’t tempt me,” Nathan replies. Afterward, Joe is shown on the floor in tears, venting to a fellow crew member, “I’ve tried so hard.”
Max Salvador makes his Below Deck Med comeback to mixed reactions
In the wake of Luke Brumer quitting his job, Captain Sandy reveals to Aesha and Joe that Below Deck Med alum Max Salvador is officially returning as a deckhand. The duo can barely contain their excitement in the moment, with Joe responding, “No way! You’re lying!”
Chef Joy, on the other hand, has her own feelings about the Frenchman coming aboard. After meeting Max, she declares to a producer in her native language that French people are “very annoying.”
Luke Brumer continues to romance Chef Joy Lefaucheur
Even though Luke already left Below Deck Med, he hasn’t given up on his romance with Chef Joy. In the teaser, Gen accepts a flower delivery to the yacht, along with a note that reads, “Perhaps our paths cross sooner than we think, Ma Reine.” When Joy questions who sent the gift, Luke is revealed to be her not-so-secret admirer.
The recently departed deckhand even dons a disguise in a producer interview, explaining, “I wanted to surprise her. Can you tell it’s me?”
Captain Sandy Yawn shows what a “badass” she truly is
In the midst of the crew’s interpersonal drama and romances, some charter guests, as well as the weather, present some intense, new challenges. The midseason trailer previews everything from “an accident,” the police arriving, and at least one guest requiring medical attention.
Later, another charter guest notices that “the boat’s shaking,” before asking, “Is there something wrong with our anchor?”
As Captain Sandy, meanwhile, navigates a storm, someone says in a voiceover, “If anyone was wondering what a badass captain Captain Sandy is, we’re all about to find out.”

Aesha Scott experiences a first in her yachting career
There’s plenty of more lighthearted fun ahead, too. “I’m 10 years into my career, and I’ve never seen anything like this,” Aesha teases, before adding, “We have got a billionaire, his fiancé, and his five other boyfriends.”
Joe even gets in on the fun, too, dressing in drag for a themed dinner. His boatmance partner Kayley’s take? “Joe in drag, he’s hot,” she says.
