Ben Robinson & Jenna Woudberg Detail Late-Night Meeting in Bed

Below Deck Down Under‘s Jenna Woudberg and Chef Ben Robinson attempted to explain their late-night visit in one of M/Y Katina‘s VIP rooms on the Below Deck Down Under After Show.

To quickly recap, following the crew’s night out in Canouan during Season 4, Episode 13, Jenna entered Ben’s room in the middle of the night, and kissing sounds were heard behind the closed door. Afterward, Jenna exited Ben’s room and immediately crawled into Eddy Hounsell’s bunk.

“Let me explain,” Jenna said on the After Show. “So, I woke up really early [in the] morning, and I went to Ben to wake him up and chat.”

Though the audio painted a different picture of what happened, Jenna also insisted that she and Ben shared nothing more than a quick peck.

“It wasn’t a deep kiss,” she said. “It was a peck. … That’s it. It wasn’t kisses. I don’t want anybody to know that Ben and I kissed because it looks terrible.”

When a producer asked if it looked terrible because she had gone to Eddy’s room right after, Jenna replied, “I enjoy a cuddle. I do. I’m a sucker for a good cuddle. It ain’t that serious.”

Separately on the Below Deck Down Under After Show, Ben characterized Jenna’s visit as being entirely unexpected.

“It was a surprise to see Jenna, yes,” he said while sitting next to Kate Chastain. “I remember I was a little bit like, whoa, it’s you, you know?”

Kate, meanwhile, pointed out that he “did invite her,” but Ben clarified that he’d let Jenna know she was welcome to stop by the VIP room he was sleeping in between charters “days prior” to her actually taking him up on the offer.

“It was 5:30 a.m.,” Ben added. “It’s a surprise to see anyone at 5:30 a.m. But it was a pleasant surprise, OK?”

After a clip rolled of Jenna cuddling with Eddy after kissing Ben, Kate sarcastically commented, “Oh. That’s so romantic.” Ben, for his part, chimed in, “Felonious, I love it.”

Either way, Ben reasoned that he didn’t take Jenna and Eddy’s relationship “very seriously” anyway. “I know that they tried a couple of times,” he elaborated. “I know that Jenna was really trying to break up with him, apparently. Anyway, that’s what I heard.”

Indeed, Jenna did officially break things off with Eddy amid their rocky Season 4 boatmance, later in Below Deck Down Under‘s April 27 episode.

“A lot was going through my mind after letting Eddy know that I’m not into him anymore,” Jenna remarked on the After Show. “I have a huge amount of guilt. I knew I had to do this because I just feel that … I was not emotionally where he was in the relationship. Also, I wanted to see the way things with Ben went. So, yeah … If I waited any longer, I’d be a s–t person.”

She continued, “Eddy appreciated me a lot, and I appreciated him. So, letting somebody down and telling him it’s not gonna work out, you know, is tough. … I would never want to hurt somebody that’s only done good beside me.”

Even so, Jenna downplayed how serious her and Eddie’s fling was, adding, “To feel like I’m actually breaking up with somebody is a little bit hectic. And I’m just letting you know before you’re in too deep.”

Eddy, for his part, commented on the After Show, “My thing to her was she wants to be married in two years’ time and things like that. So, in my head, I thought, I’m not saying the things she wants to hear. But I thought I was relatively swimming in that pool, right?”

That said, he underscored the fact that the things he thought he had wanted from life when he was 22 or 23 years old had greatly changed as he grew a bit older. That’s why he could partially understand where Jenna was coming from.

Still, Eddy concluded, “My thing was… I wasn’t wanting something just to be cut off so quick like that, especially in the environment we were in.”

As the charter season continues on Below Deck Down Under, don’t miss details on the “non-negotiable” that led Jenna to lose interest in Eddy.
