Brittany Cartwright is sharing a major update on her divorce from Jax Taylor. The Valley cast member filed for divorce from her ex in August 2024, and they are doing everything they can to co-parent their 5-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi, as they wait to finalize their divorce.Â

Brittany appeared on her podcast, When Reality Hits, on May 1, where she revealed that the divorce has not yet been finalized, so she can’t say too much about it. “I can’t talk too much about it because I’m still in the process of getting a divorce, and I really want it to happen this time,” she admitted during the episode. “So I’m not going to say too much. Just, it’s not easy.”
She continued, noting that both of them are prioritizing their son amid their divorce. “But Cruz always comes first for both of us, and Cruz will never have to see any of the toxic stuff that I have to go through,” she revealed. “He is so far removed from any of that. He’s never going to see that. I will never let that happen to him again.”
“So, just working on it. Hopefully, one day things will be easy, but it’s hard when you’re not dealing with the easy person. That’s all I’m going to say,” she concluded.
Is Brittany Cartwright dating anyone?
Brittany is currently single amid her divorce from Jax. “I don’t think people realize I’ve been single for over two years now,” she said during the podcast episode. “But I have been single. I’ve just been dating around here and there, but I very much am working on myself, working on my mental health, my physical health, and just being the best mom to Cruz that I can possibly be.”

She further revealed that while she is dating people, she isn’t looking for a relationship any time soon, following her breakup with her ex-boyfriend Brandon Hanson. “So I’m not rushing into anything, but moms deserve to have fun too, okay? I like dating,” she continued. “I like having butterflies and things like that. But until I find the right person, I don’t know if I will ever have someone film on the show again, unless I know that it’s going to be the right person.”
“So I’m definitely taking things slow and just focusing on everything that Cruz needs right now and myself,” she added. “And if somebody is meant to be, then they will be. We’ll see. I’m just having fun and enjoying life.”

Brittany appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 15, where she revealed that Jax is still the same person to her. “Jax is Jaxin’. I mean, it’s not easy,” she said.
She also confirmed that Jax is sober. “Very happy for that. You know, that is a great achievement,” she admitted. “It’s just some people are never gonna change.”
