The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright is sharing major updates on her 5-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi, whom she shares with her ex-husband Jax Taylor. Brittany appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 15, where she opened up about her son’s recent birthday and how he celebrated with Jax.
During her time on WWHL, Brittany confirmed that Jax took Cruz to eat at Hooters for his 5th birthday on April 12. Jax had taken to his Instagram Story at the time of celebrating Cruz’s birthday, where he posted two photos from their celebration. In the pictures, Jax and Cruz can be seen watching animals at the aquarium and sipping from cups while they went out to eat at Hooters.
But, as a former Hooters waitress, Brittany had no problem with this. “I was inducted into the Hooters Hall of Fame. I think people forget about that,” she said. “I love Hooters. That does not bother me at all. I wanted him to spend time with his son on his birthday.”

Later in the WWHL episode, Brittany revealed how Cruz is doing today. “He is thriving. He’s doing amazing,” Brittany told Andy Cohen. “He just turned five on Sunday. He’s so magical. I think he’s the star of The Valley, if I do say so myself.”
Brittany had previously taken to Instagram on April 12, where she posted a series of photos of Cruz taken over the years, including pictures taken of him at his farm-themed birthday party from this recent celebration. “Mommy loves you so much and I am so proud of you every single day!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “You are pure magic and light up everyone’s life that knows you. You are so beautiful, so smart, so talented, so unique, and sooooo wonderful!! I am beyond blessed to be your Mommy. I can’t believe how fast time flies. You make me a better and happier person every single day. I love you so much Cruz!”

During her time on WWHL, Brittany also revealed where she stands with Jax today amid co-parenting Cruz. “Jax is Jaxin’,” Brittany told Andy. “I mean, it’s not easy.”
She confirmed to Andy that Jax is sober. “Very happy for that,” she noted. “You know, that is a great achievement. It’s just some people are never gonna change.”
