Police in Illinois is investigating after finding five people, including two children, deceased in a ‘domestic-related incident,’ possibly a murder-suicide, at a home in Buffalo Grove.

According to WGN, police officers were called to a home in the suburban village, located just about 30 miles north of Chicago, around 11.10 am for a welfare check on a woman.
The officers responded to a home in the 2800 block of Acacia Terrace where a neighbour said a husband, a wife, and two ‘elementary-aged children,’ a boy and a girl, lived.
WGN reported that the deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide. Neighbours told the news outlet that a husband, wife, and their two elementary school-aged children lived in the home.
According to WLS, Wednesday’s welfare check pertained to a woman, and officers forced entry into the Buffalo Grove home after nobody answered the door.
Authorities have not yet publicly named the five decedents or how they died.
