Los Angeles, California – Cardi B dished on why she takes fashion as a “challenge” and addressed those Maduka Okoye rumors for her Vogue Arabia cover feature!
“I feel that designers have to be happy with what they do. I don’t want them to feel they’ve wasted their time on me,” the New York native told the outlet.
“I don’t want to just wear the clothes; I want them to be like, ‘Wow, she put this together so well.’ I want to make them proud,” Cardi shared.
The Bodak Yellow rapper says she “always” had a passion for fashion, and cited Raven-Symoné as her inspiration when she was younger.

“I knew that I had to dress differently. Everyone around me was wearing Jordans and jeans, and I just wanted to dress in bold colours like Raven,” she continued.
“People might think that I don’t take a lot of things seriously. When it comes to dressing, when it comes to clothing, when it comes to putting everything together – from the hair to the feet – I don’t play. Everything counts.”
The Grammy-winning rapper not only turned heads with her ‘fits at Paris Fashion Week, but things really got intriguing when everyone saw Cardi cozying up to Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
“He was really sweet,” she said of the athlete. “When you see him on social media, he looks very strict, stern, but he is very kind.”
When asked if the world will see more of him, she coyly responded with a giggle, adding, “I hope so.”
After wrapping up her Little Miss Drama tour, Cardi has just released her new single, Ah Ha – with the accompanying music video dropping this Friday.
When asked about the track’s scathing lyrics, the rapper said that Ah Ha “is for everyone who thinks I’m worried about them. I don’t care about you. There’s a lot of jealousy around me all the time.”
