Carole Radziwill’s famous name and connection to the Kennedy family are back in the spotlight on The Real Housewives of New York City Season 16, and Carole opens up about Love Story, the recent show covering her family’s tragedy, during the above preview of Episode 2 (airing Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo) — including how she even discovered the project was happening.
“Did I tell you how I found out? Oh my god. I mean, you just can’t make this up,” Carole tells Erika Hammond during the RHONY sneak peek. “I went on a bunch of dates with a guy. He calls me, he said, ‘I just auditioned to play your late husband.’”
Carole’s late husband was Anthony Radziwill, who she married in 1994. He died after a battle with cancer in 1999.
During the first look at the Sept. 15 episode, Carole reveals that the bizarre connection between her current love life and late husband gets even stranger. “He’s not the only one!” she laughs as she shares with Erika, “I matched with someone on Raya, and he was like, ‘I think I auditioned to play your late husband.’ I was like, ‘Are you f—king kidding me?’ Two guys!”

How does Carole Radziwill feel about the show Love Story?
Carole admits during RHONY Season 16, Episode 2 that she has mixed feelings on the show considering its popularity resulted in her memoir, What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship & Love, returning to The New York Times Best Seller list. As she put it, “Because of Love Story, and the craze around that show, it’s like, oh my God, everyone is talking about it. It’s bittersweet, because it’s hard to see some of the most traumatic years of my life in a television show, but, getting back on the New York Times Bestseller List doesn’t come without Love Story.”
Carole shared a similar sentiment while opening up about the difficulties of filming RHONY Season 16 while Love Story was airing. “That show, really, it was like a body slam. I didn’t watch it, but you couldn’t get away from it,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “The other women on the cast watched it and were curious about this and that. It was very hard…I hadn’t planned on talking about it.”
