As Carole Radizwill makes her return to The Real Housewives of New York City Season 16 after eight years, she admits much has changed, but one thing has stayed the same: she still lives in her SoHo apartment. However, she’s since “renovated [her] apartment again,” she describes in the above preview of Episode 2 (airing Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo).

RHONY fans will recall Carole’s entryway was darker and moodier back in 2014. Now, it’s been updated with lighter colors, new sconces, and new mirrors.
While her living room was decorated in tones of gray and blue 12 years ago, she’s now decorated with a brown rug, warmer lights, new tan couches, and new drapes. Even her hardwood floors have shifted to a lighter wood from their previous darker tones.
In the sneak peek, Carole points out one of her biggest apartment transformations: her kitchen. “I had turned my kitchen into my office, so I turned it back into a kitchen,” she shares. Despite the makeover, Carole still has her computer in the kitchen. She adds, “I still don’t cook, but, I do make my coffee there. But now my office is in my car.”

Carole Radziwill describes the changes she’s made to her apartment since moving in
Carole gave Bravo Insider a tour of her pad after she first joined RHONY Season 5 in 2012.
“This is my living room. It has 16 foot ceilings. When I bought it, it was completely different. I gutted it and renovated the whole thing,” she shared at the time.
She revealed she added a staircase up to a “little attic space.” The space served as both a closet and office back then.

By 2017, Carole had again renovated, and showed off the changes to Architectural Digest. Her sofas got fabric facelifts, all the walls were refinished and repainted, and everything from lamps to artwork was switched out. She also turned her upstairs space into only a dressing room—and moved her office to the kitchen.

Although she didn’t show off her bedroom in the preview above, she paid it heavy attention in her 2017 remodel.
“I decided to go for something different, something girly,” she told the outlet of her inspiration. Her changes included a new antique-mirrored dressing table and chest of drawers, with ceramic flowers above her headboard.
“I wanted some element that would draw your eye up, but not a mirror,” Carole explained. “I’m weird, but I’m not that weird.”
One of Carole’s signature pieces throughout her renovations has been a vintage sofa that once belonged to her mother-in-law Lee Radziwill, the sister of Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis. However, it’s unclear if Carole still owns the couch, as she didn’t mention it during the above sneak peek of the Sept. 15 episode.
The couch was custom-made in the late 1960s with tiger-stripe upholstery, and went straight from Lee’s Park Avenue penthouse to Carole and her late husband’s own Park Avenue apartment, according to Architectural Digest. It then made the move to SoHo with Carole, and was seen when she first joined RHONY Season 5.
“I’ve had it in my life for 27 years,” she told the outlet back in 2017. “Not only is it a great couch—the most gorgeous, the most comfortable—it has a lot of memories soaked into it.” She added, “I don’t so much feel sentimental for the couch as responsible for it. It’s a piece of history.”
Carole admitted in 2017 that the couch’s fabric was beginning to wear, and she’d reupholstered it at that time with a blue velvet.
