Cole McBee and Kacie Adkison took the next step in their relationship when he got down on one knee and proposed on Nov. 7, 2025, and now Cole is opening up with new details about the “rock” he chose for Kacie during The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 3, Episode 4.

As the jeweler brought out the 3.16 carat diamond ring, which according to producers retails for $35,000, Cole’s brother Jesse McBee commented the ring was “giant.”
“That’s the one thing Kacie said,” Cole conceded during McBee Dynasty’s July 6 episode. “She’s like, ‘I want it big!’”
To producers, he elaborated on why he chose this particular ring for Kacie. “I’ve been saving up for this ring for a long time, and even though finances aren’t great right now at the farm, Kacie deserves it,” he explained.
Cole admitted that his father’s sentencing to prison for federal crop insurance fraud had put a strain on his entire family, but revealed it had also provided clarity in his relationship with Kacie.
“Life and work has just been heavy lately. You know, between my dad’s sentencing, and all the debt that we’ve been trying to work through, it’s been tough,” he confessed. “But, you know, the one thing that always makes my day and keeps me going is seeing Kacie and Blair when I get home, and hanging out with them. They’re the light of my world and they motivate me every day to keep fighting.”
He added, “I know what I want, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Cole McBee details his anxiety around proposing to Kacie Adkison
On the big day, Cole revealed to his mother, Kristi McBee, that he was feeling “a lot of anxiety” concerning his proposal to Kacie.
“Last year, whenever Kacie and I were talking about getting engaged, and about marriage, she definitely told me that she was not ready yet,” Cole recalled to producers during McBee Dynasty’s July 6 episode.
You’ll remember Cole first went ring shopping with his mother during Season 2, Episode 8, and then discussed the idea of marriage with Kacie at the site of their future home in Gallatin, Missouri. At the time, she was pregnant with their daughter, Blair.
“I just think we need a little more time,” Kacie said as she shut down a proposal. “I don’t wanna get engaged just because it’s the next step in our relationship. I wanna get married because, like, I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.”
To producers, she pointed out at the time, “I think we have a lot to improve in our relationship before I can see myself marrying him.”

During the July 6 episode, Cole admitted Kacie was correct. “There was probably some things that I needed to work on, and change. She was still wanting to see a few things from me,” he told producers, but acknowledged things are now different. “Now, I’m not as big of a drinker as I used to be. We’ve had our house built. We’ve had Blair. We are settled in.”
Still, he revealed he was anxious to propose. “It is a little nerve-racking bringing it back up, just ‘cuz I hope that she is ready now,” he added.
Inside Cole McBee’s proposal to Kacie Adkison
Cole revealed new details of his proposal to Kacie for the first time during McBee Dynasty’s July 6 episode, including the location: The Elms Hotel & Spa, a historical resort in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
“We are doing it at a really nice hotel. They have a big gazebo,” he shared with producers.
Cole then explained how “the surprise factor” was the most important part of the proposal to him. “Like, I want her to not know what’s happening, and she walks outside, sees me and Blair and freak[s] out,” he added.
He enlisted his family members to help him pull off the surprise.
“We are on a top secret mission of distracting Kacie,” Jesse’s wife, Alli McBee, disclosed to producers. “She thinks we are going to have a spa day. Have a nice ‘dinner.’ While we’re distracting Kacie, the boys are going to be setting up this gazebo. But it’s at the same place, so we have to be very discreet.”
As Kacie walked outside and saw Cole and Blair waiting for her in the gazebo, with giant lit letters spelling out “Marry Me,” she was shocked.
“Kacie, I love you so much. You’re my everything,” he told her as he began to tear up. “You are my best friend. You’re my hunting partner. And you’re the best mom Blair could have ever asked for. Seeing you become a mom, and raising Blair with you, has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. And I don’t ever want to live without you guys.”
Kacie said yes, and declared, “I’m a fiancée now!” She candidly gushed to producers, “I honestly didn’t believe it, because I didn’t know Cole could be this romantic. It’s truly everything I’ve been dreaming of.”
She continued, “Since the day I knew I loved Cole, I was never one to doubt my mind, and I can’t wait to spend forever with him.”

She congratulated Cole on pulling off the surprise. “I pick up on everything, and I actually had no idea,” she admitted.
Cole and Kacie are preparing to welcome baby number two, and recently revealed if they’re expecting a boy or girl.
