CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (TCN) —Â A 61-year-old physician and owner of an urgent care center has been arrested and charged with several felony counts in connection with an alleged road-rage shooting.
Virginia State Police troopers responded to a report of a shooting on the morning of Aug. 22, WBTV reports. Richard Arriviello allegedly fired a gun into a Jeep while it was moving and shot two sisters, ages 12 and 20. He allegedly fled the scene and was taken into custody after a traffic stop shortly after.
According to WBTV, Arriviello was charged with malicious shooting into an occupied vehicle, shooting from a vehicle, maliciously causing bodily harm to another with intent to maim, and use of a firearm while committing a felony.
The victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. According to People, both were reportedly shot in the legs.Â
The driver of the Jeep they were riding in was charged with reckless driving, per WBTV. Their names have not been released. People reports police have not revealed what led to the alleged incident.
