Does Amanda Batula Still Work for Loverboy? (JUNE 2026)

As Amanda Batula looked for a new home during her separation from Kyle Cooke during In The City Season 1, her Summer House castmates questioned just how much she and Kyle were still tied together through their work for the beverage brand Loverboy. Amanda answered West Wilson and Ciara Miller’s pressing questions about her Loverboy association during Episode 3.

“I mean, I haven’t been like, that involved. I’m staying out of his stuff,” Amanda answered in the June 2 episode, referencing the company her estranged husband founded in 2018. However, Ciara pointed out, “Technically, it’s still your stuff…You didn’t sign a f—king prenup.”

As Amanda clarified, “But he took out that loan before we got married,” Ciara inquired about where Kyle is at “financially,” referencing Loverboy’s monetary struggles. Ciara explained, “It’s like, wherever Loverboy would land, if it came out in the negative, you could still be liable.”

But Amanda pushed back on the thought of having to worry about Loverboy’s debts. “I would like to think that [Kyle] wouldn’t do that to me, or put me through that,” she shared. Ciara remained skeptical, replying, “I hear you, I just think that’s a naive standpoint, truthfully.”

After Kyle and Amanda announced their pending divorce in January, Amanda noted of her career during her appearance on the podcast Trading Secrets in May, “I haven’t worked at Loverboy in a while.”

As far as what will happen to Loverboy in their split, she added at the time, “That’s his baby. I’m not gonna steal something that he’s put his heart and soul into and worked so hard on. So, I’m not taking half the business.”

Despite living apart, Amanda and Kyle reunited for business during the June 2 episode, as they discussed promoting Loverboy’s new drink, dubbed the “Flirty Shirley.” The product is a collaboration between Loverboy and the streetwear and athleisure brand Boys Lie.

“It’s been a long time in the making,” Amanda reflected. To producers she explained, “Kyle and I shot the collab over the summmer [of 2025] with Boys Lie for our new Shirley Temple drink. Then, we have a whole line of clothing that we’re doing with them too.”

It’s not the first time Amanda has been involved in adding new products at Loverboy. In April 2021, the couple announced the brand’s first cocktail: an espresso martini. In April 2020, Amanda also announced her “classier alternative to Kyle’s hard teas” when she promoted Loverboy Spritz on her social media.

Amanda noted she and Kyle were on their way to do a podcast teasing the Flirty Shirley during the June 2 episode, and admitted the two have put their personal issues on hold for work before. “The amount of times that Kyle and I have been in a really bad place…I’ve just had to smile through it and act like everything is fine,” she confessed. “I’m a professional at this at this point.”

How Amanda Batula’s role at Loverboy has evolved over the years

Amanda’s career as the creative director at Loverboy has changed throughout the years. In case you need a refresher, Amanda previously served as a creative director for the health and wellness company Fenix between 2016 and 2018, and also worked as a senior designer for the cosmetics company L’Occitane en Provence from 2014 to 2019, all while providing additional help at Loverboy.

In 2018, she shifted to lead the creative and branding department for the beverage brand alongside Kyle, but she never hesitated to point out her desires to further her own separate career.

“It’s our dream to be successful, but Loverboy is your thing. It’s your baby,” she told him during Summer House Season 8. “I still want to be involved, but maybe there’s something that I did for me, that I got to do the branding that embodied me.”

In January 2025, Amanda told BravoTV.com that her role had changed again, and she was less involved with the day-to-day operations of Loverboy. “I think Kyle and I both sort of agreed that it would be great for me to take a step back,” she explained. “Not a full step —  I’m not taking a step out. Just a step back.”

Amanda admitted the change was due to her marital tensions with Kyle.

“I think we’re both very passionate about what we do. So we butt heads a lot,” she said at the time. “[Joining Loverboy] was great in a business sense, but not necessarily great for our relationship. So now my involvement is like big-picture stuff. So I’m hands-on on any new flavors, any new product lines, packaging.”
