The Real Housewives of New York City cast member has been married to her husband, affectionately known as “Abe the Babe,” for over 14 years and has so much love for him. More recently, Erin took to her Instagram Stories in September 2026, where she held a revealing Q&A session, answering some very candid questions about her relationship with Abe and their life together.Â

Erin and Abe married on June 28, 2012. Erin, who is Jewish, opened up more about marrying Abe, shedding light on her dating life before they met in the Q&A and how Abe differed from those previous partners. Prior to meeting Abe, she said she dated a guy who wasn’t Jewish but “thought he was my forever at the time.”
Then she met Abe, the man who would become her husband. “I would never have settled for a Jewish guy because he was Jewish, and tbh [to be honest] I never dated within my religion before him!” she said of Abe. “I got lucky because he has that Cuban spice that helps him handle my craziness, lol, but still get to keep the traditions. Also helps that my dad loved him like a son.”

Abe, according to Erin’s Instagram Q&A, is “half Cuban, half Turkish and Greek, and 100 percent sexy.” Erin admitted during her Q&A that Abe’s mom has taught her how to cook some Cuban dishes. “She is such a good cook. She taught me how to make picadillo. It’s delicious. It’s a staple in the house. I make it on Shabbat, and she taught me how to make really good Cuban food,” she said. “Cuban food is so delicious…and sometimes I do make it.”

Erin Lichy reveals an update on her and Abe’s Hamptons house after a devastating flood
During RHONY Season 16, Episode 1, Erin revealed that her and Abe’s home in the Hamptons was flooded after a pipe burst, leaving much of their house in disrepair. Erin admitted on her recent Instagram Story session that they were able to recover “not much” from the home after it flooded. “My contractor was being very careful because of mold. It’s honestly insane how mold spreads,” she wrote. “And I would also like to take this opportunity to say I am VERY grateful for my life and the fact that my house is fine and we will rebuild.”
Who are Erin Lichy’s kids with Abe Lichy?
As mentioned, Erin and Abe have four kids together: Levi, Layla, Elijah, and Jack. She shared in the Q&A session that “all [our] kids are fluent in Spanish.”
Abe Lichy opens up about his marriage to Erin Lichy and their family life
Abe has been just as open about his and Erin’s life together. Abe, of course, is incredibly supportive of Erin, as seen when he appeared in the audience on the Sept. 22 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on the night that Erin was the guest. But he’s also shown his love for her in other ways. In July 2026, Abe opened up about being married to Erin, timed to her birthday. In the emotional post, he got candid about their life together and how much she means to him. “It’s amazing seeing you through all these stages of life. Every year you actualize your Self more and more, and it’s really cool to watch. Enjoy the last year of your 30s, and I promise – the 40s are even better, so don’t worry. Love you,” he wrote.
Weeks before that, he posted another look at his life with his wife and their kids. “She never ceases to amaze me. I literally don’t know how you manage 5 kids (present company included) and everything else you do, but I learned to stop asking these questions a while ago and am just grateful you do. Motherhood suits you quite well. You learned from the best,” Abe wrote in a Mother’s Day tribute to Erin in May 2026.

Yes, in addition to being married and raising their kids together, Erin and Abe are hosts of their own podcast, Come Together. During the question-and-answer session, Erin revealed how she and Abe are able to keep the spark alive in their relationship after having four kids and being together for over a decade. “We do things alone. We tell each other what’s bothering us so we don’t harbor resentment. We go see live music. We sometimes are spontaneous. And we laugh,” she wrote.Â
