A father is accused of leaving his 4-month-old daughter in the front seat of his running car so he could go to a Tennessee bar.
Jordan Hayley, 25, has been charged with neglect of a child 8 years old or younger and leaving an unattended child in a motor vehicle, according to court records reviewed by Law&Crime. His bond was set at $1,500.

On Sunday, Hayley was outside the honky-tonk bars on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee, establishments known for having large crowds and live music. He was in a running car and had his daughter in a car seat in the front seat — facing the wrong way, local CBS affiliate WTVF reported.
He allegedly left the car running and headed over to Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar. While he was in line to get in, the child’s mother reportedly spoke to him about their child.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department was called to the bar about an argument taking place outside of it between the couple.
“The female party was screaming at the defendant and he was also exchanging words with her,” an officer wrote in an affidavit obtained by area NBC affiliate WSMV. “Both were in each other’s faces.”
The woman explained to officers that Hayley was supposed to be caring for their baby, and she didn’t know where her daughter was. The defendant allegedly lied and said the woman’s mother was watching the girl, though the woman rejected that claim.
Officers checked Hayley’s vehicle, where they found the child alone inside the running car, authorities said. The girl was unharmed, and officers returned her to her mother’s custody.
Hayley was arrested and booked into jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
