POLK COUNTY, Fla. (TCN) — A 36-year-old man is behind bars and charged with a felony offense against computer users after authorities allege he posted more than 100 TikTok videos containing the private information of two women.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Mark Asea was arrested in April. He faced charges of stalking and computer-related offenses, and the case was closed in May. It was reopened Sept. 24, and he was booked into jail Sept. 30 on a felony offense against computer users charge.
Investigators learned that Asea, who reportedly describes himself as a “demonologist” in a social media bio, allegedly posted more than 100 TikTok videos about a woman. Asea would allegedly post about her as many as six times a day, and the videos allegedly included her passwords, banking information, license plate number, and location tracking.
According to an affidavit, Asea’s alleged videos discussed the last 10 purchases she made online, WTXF reports. She said she does not receive emailed receipts, which led her to believe he was able to see her bank account.
A second woman reportedly gave Asea remote access to her computer because she needed technical help, and according to the sheriff’s department, some of her private Telegram messages allegedly showed up on his TikTok account.
In addition to the computer-related charges, Asea was allegedly involved in a civil stalking-protection case earlier this year; it was dismissed Sept. 8.
Asea’s bond is set at $35,000 and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 19, per the sheriff’s office.
