HILLSBORO, Ore. (TCN) — A man with a foot fetish allegedly posed as a massage therapy student in order to approach women at stores and in parking lots to gain access to their feet. More than 100 people have come forward saying they were abused by him.
Court documents obtained by KGW allege that 23-year-old Cedric Valdez said he had a sexual attraction to feet and admitted to targeting women for five years. The ages of the alleged victims range from 14 to 47, according to the outlet.
Valdez was arrested in January after an investigation found he had massaged, kissed, smelled, and licked the feet of four victims. KPTV reports that after authorities announced they had arrested him, more victims came forward with their stories.
Valdez would allegedly approach the women and girls and tell them he needed help with a school project. KGW reports he would go with the victims to their cars and have contact with their feet. During the encounters, he would allegedly take photos or record videos, some of which were uploaded to pornographic sites. KPTV reports Valdez would allegedly claim to be a massage therapy student.
KGW reports that 13 of Valdez’s alleged victims were minors and that he would allegedly pretend to be a minor when talking with the younger victims. According to KPTV, Valdez has an outstanding warrant in California after allegedly exposing himself to a minor.
In court, one of the alleged victims spoke out against Valdez’s potential release and said, “After he assaulted me, I haven’t been able to sleep well and have had problems at work. In fact, one time when I was at work I saw a person that looked like him and urinated myself,” according to KPTV. The judge said Valdez could only be released prior to his August trial if he meets the very specific conditions the judge lays out.
Law & Crime reports Valdez has been charged with practicing massage without a license, sexual harassment, and 41 counts of sexual abuse. His bail has been set at $10,000.
