Gael Cameron is opening up about what it was like to introduce her and Nathan Gallagher’s son, Kayden Cameron Gallagher, to Captain Sandy Yawn and Aesha Scott during Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11, Episode 2.
The new parents brought their son aboard M/Y Akira One during the episode to introduce him to Aesha and Captain Sandy, who brought Nathan and Gael together as deckhands during Below Deck Med Season 9. Although Nathan is working as a bosun on Below Deck Med Season 11, without Gael, the mother-son duo relocated to Dubrovnik, Croatia, to be closer to him during the charter season, allowing them to bring him on board.
Gael took to Instagram on June 16, where she shared videos of Sandy meeting Kayden and posted the sweetest photos of him in his M/Y Akira One onesie. “Getting to introduce our little man to [Captain Sandy] and [Aesha] was so special,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “They’ve both always been incredibly supportive and have meant a lot over the years.”
“It was also wonderful meeting the rest of the crew and making new friends along the way! Moments like these are ones I’ll never forget,” she concluded.
Gael Cameron shares a look at her career in yachting today
Although Gael is not working on Below Deck Med Season 11, she is still working in yachting in Australia today. The mom of one took to her Instagram Story earlier this month, where she revealed a seagull flew onto the boat where she was working and knocked over their snacks. “I don’t know who this guy thinks he is,” she said in the now-disappeared video.Â
“Thinks he’s a paying guest,” she wrote over the snapshots from the video. “At least he didn’t [poop] before charter.”
She also shared the gorgeous view of the Sydney Harbor where their yacht was docked. Gael captured the stunning Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge on her Instagram Story before showing how the harbor looked at night. Â “Tap to light it up,” she wrote over the photo in the daytime.

Gael Cameron gives a look at life as a mom to Kayden Cameron Gallagher
When she isn’t working, Gael is busy tending to her 11-month-old son, who turns a year old in June. The Australian native took to her Instagram feed, where she posted a series of videos of Kayden crawling on the beach before she ran to him and spun him around in her arms.
“Better with you,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “11 months out with my best bud. Where has the time gone?”
“Love you two,” Aesha commented underneath the photo.
She later shared another video of herself and Kayden as they walked together and waxed nostalgic. “I spent years chasing adventures. Then you became my favourite one. Taking it one step at a time,” she captioned the video on Instagram.
