Garcelle Beauvais is sharing what happened during her recent run-in with former BFF, Sutton Stracke. The two women had been super close to one another prior to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 reunion. But things took a turn when Garcelle announced her departure from the show last year, and their friendship is still strained.
The RHOBH alum appeared on Kelly Ripa’s podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, on May 6, where she confirmed that she has not spoken to Sutton since March 2025, when the actress posted a video to Instagram announcing that she would be leaving RHOBH. “I haven’t spoken to her since I made that announcement on Instagram that I was leaving. I spoke to her that night,” Garcelle said during the episode.
However, they did have a brief run-in with one another when they attended the premiere of the movie, Sung Song Blue. Garcelle had been waiting with a friend in a “line of celebrities and actors” to get on the red carpet when Sutton caught her by surprise. “I hear, ‘Hello Garcelle.’ And I turn to my right, and it’s Sutton,” Garcelle explained, before she said “hi” back.
“And that was really it,” she noted. “And it was so strange because I got on the carpet, and then she got on the carpet, but we were far apart.”
Garcelle admitted on the podcast that she had just been reflecting on her friendship with Sutton prior to the movie premiere when she was hanging out with her friend. “We were talking in the car, and she’s like, ‘I can’t believe you guys aren’t friends,'” she recalled. “And I said, ‘I know, it’s really weird, but that was a chapter, and that was a season.'”
“I’m a big believer in sometimes not everything lasts forever, and it’s OK,” Garcelle added. “You can still have a fondness for that.”

Sutton spoke with The Daily Dish in December 2025, where she admitted that she had been “a little taken aback” by all of the questions about Garcelle and their friendship. She continued, noting that she had tried to apologize to Garcelle, telling her she was sorry for what led to the end of their friendship.
“Well, I’ve told her a lot in text messages, including many apologies,” the Georgia native added. “I just said, you know, ‘I’m just not sure for what, but help me understand what I’ve done in this friendship.’ So it’s a shame that we didn’t get to have a one-on-one conversation.”

Garcelle appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in Oct. 2025, where she admitted that their falling out had to do with the RHOBH Season 14 reunion and how Sutton acted toward their friendship. “Not only did she not have my back, she also, when she called me, never took accountability for it,” she explained. “That hurt my feelings a lot.”
