“[My] dad’s doing great,” she told Bravo Insider. Weeks prior, on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in September, Gia shed new light on her dad’s deportation following his legal issues and where things stand today.Â
“It’s going. Maybe just speak it into the universe. I think that’s the goal. I think that’s the hope. We have things in place, and it’s just a matter of if people sympathize with the story,” she said of efforts to get him home.
While Gia is busy in the Garden State, she often makes time to visit her dad in the Bahamas, and he never misses the chance to gush about his daughters. “Nothing better than making memories, laughing, and enjoying every moment together. Family is everything,” he wrote back in August 2026 after spending time with his kids.

Gia has a lot on her plate these days, as she has been busy with Il Vero, her Italian restaurant in Westwood, New Jersey, that she operates along with her mom, Teresa. But Gia told Bravo Insider that she wouldn’t be opposed to working with more family, including her sisters.
“I would love for them to even come to work and work at Il Vero,” she said. “The whole family affair. Gabriella [Giudice] says when she comes home for winter break, she wants to work at Il Vero.”

Although Gia is currently living on her own in an apartment in Jersey City, New Jersey, she still keeps close ties to her mom and her family’s home in New Jersey. “My bedroom is still there, thank God,” she said of Teresa’s house. “I mean, she didn’t remove my bed, so that’s nice. I still have a bed to go home to.”

But there is no need for Gia to spend too much time back at home, as her longtime boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, is moving in with her. Gia revealed to Bravo Insider at Bravo Fan Fest that she is really excited to take this big step in her relationship with her boyfriend.
“I mean, it’s about time,” she said. “You know, we wanted to move into a place together, so that we could make it our own. But with Il Vero opening, there was just a lot going on. I kind of needed to take a minute, and moving seemed super stressful right now. So we’re going to do a year in my place and I’m so grateful; he was amazing and said that he would do that. So we’re going to stay a year in my place, and then after a year is over, we’ll find a new place that we’ll stay in for a long time.”
