Gina Kirschenheiter happily declared she’s in her “engagement era,” as she showed off her six-carat engagement ring from longtime boyfriend Travis Mullen during The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 20 premiere. However, she admitted the ring wasn’t quite the stunner everyone believed, as she revealed a shocking new detail about it.

“Travis worked with a jeweler to design a prototype, because there was a possibility that I might not like the ring, which means this ring is fake as f—k,” she revealed during RHOC’s July 9 episode.
Heather Dubrow was among Gina’s friends who questioned her engagement ring. “It’s gorgeous,” Heather confessed to producers, but added, “Do I think it’s a natural diamond or a lab diamond? I mean, it looked a little rainbow-y to me.”
Gina shared more about the significance of the ring, which features a six-carat, oval-cut center diamond, surrounded by three smaller diamonds on each side. She told People the ring’s main stone is meant to represent her and Travis, while the side stones represent their six children as part of their blended family from previous marriages.

Gina Kirschenheiter shares new details on Travis Mullen’s proposal
Gina recalled how she was completely surprised when Travis popped the question on New Year’s Eve. “We took the kids to Big Bear on a pretty last minute ski trip,” she confessed to producers during RHOC’s July 9 premiere. “I had eaten my way through the holidays, so my pants were extra tight.” She joked, “I had two broken nails. Of course, this is the time this motherf—ker decides to propose to me.”
Gina shared her candid camera phone footage of her engagement during RHOC’s July 9 episode. She also posted the reel on her Instagram with the caption, “After 8 years on television, what I loved most about this moment was that there were no cameras around except for my stepdaughter hiding in the woods. I will cherish this unexpected, simple, beautiful moment forever. Thank you Travis, I love you.”

Tamra Judge inquired into Gina’s wedding plans during RHOC’s July 9 premiere, and learned she and Travis haven’t set a date yet.
“We actually said for the next six months we’re not even going to talk about it. Like, I just really want to enjoy it,” Gina explained.
During a Jan. 28 interview with Bravo Insider, Gina added of their mindset, “I really feel like, you know, I found the right person and the right partner for me that I wanna be like my forever person, you know? And so, I don’t wanna rush it. Like, I want to enjoy it. I am really enjoying being in this lovey dovey, in my engagement era, you know?”
However, Gina did share one detail of her wedding vision, and it’ll involve her kids, Sienna, Nicholas and Luca, as well as Travis’ children, Presley, Bennett and Joseph.
“I already did the traditional wedding, like the big wedding party and all of that, and there is like, one thing for me, when I see myself getting married, whether it’s a big wedding or a small wedding, I see all six of our children standing there beside us, like, as a wedding party,” she detailed to Bravo Insider. “And I don’t really feel the need to include anyone else. I see it as like, Travis and I are getting married, but I really see it as us as a family committing to each other.”

Gina opened up more during RHOC’s July 9 premiere on the timing of her engagement to Travis, and admitted the proposal was a long time coming. “We have so much going on as a family that I did not know if we would ever get engaged, honestly,” she confessed to producers. “Travis does have full custody of his children right now, but they’re still actively in court. You know, you kinda just gotta say, ‘Alright, well, do I want it to continue to hold up my life?’ No, I don’t.”

Gina also shared a positive update on her booming real estate career during RHOC’s Season 20 premiere, as well as her joint business with Travis, The Gated Group.
“The Gated Group has been booming. Every year that we’re in business, we double our business,” she revealed to producers. “I just feel like I’m really entering a time in my life where everything is good.” She joked, “And I was like, ‘Sh—t! I didn’t even know that was a thing!’”
