GRAPHIC VIDEO Shows Man Biting Severed Leg Taken From Deadly Train Crash – Crime Online

A California man appeared in court on Tuesday, days after he was arrested for taking a leg from the site of a fatal train crash.

On Friday, a construction crew was laying down concrete outside an Amtrak station in Wasco when they spotted Rosendo Tellez, 27, waving a human leg. WBAX reported that the leg apparently came from a pedestrian who was fatally struck by a train near the station that morning.

“On the leg, the skin was hanging. You could see the bone,” a construction worker told the news outlet.

Tellez was allegedly also spotted hitting the severed leg against a wall.

In video footage obtained by TMZ, Tellez is allegedly seen holding and biting what appears to be a human leg before walking away. The tabloid reported that officers eventually apprehended him.

A probable cause statement detailed how Tellez claimed he took the leg from the scene because “he thought the leg was his,” according to The Bakersfield Californian.

Tellez is charged with removing human remains from a location other than a cemetery, disposing of human remains outside of a cemetery, destroying or concealing evidence, and resisting a peace officer. The Bakersfield Californian reported that he is also charged with violating his parole, which is the only felony charge he’s facing.

Officials have not yet publicly identified the person who was killed by a train on Friday.

According to KGET, Tellez is homeless and has a dozen misdemeanor convictions, primarily for alcohol-related offenses. He is due back in court on April 10.
