Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her husband, Ryan Anderson, have separated.
People reports that 32-year-old Blanchard posted the update “on her private Facebook account” Thursday. The split comes three months after her release from Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Center.
“People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents [sic] home down the bayou,” she reportedly wrote.
“I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am.”
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Blanchard was released on December 28, after serving time for second-degree murder. According to Missouri state law, Blanchard qualified for early release after serving 85% of her sentence, which she completed.
Blanchard was convicted of murder for the June 2015 death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, who was found killed in their Springfield home. An autopsy report indicated that she had been stabbed 17 times.
Blanchard previously told ET that she married 37-year-old Anderson, a special education teacher, after learning he was from Louisiana, her home state. The connection started as a penpal friendship that eventually turned into marriage.
They married in July 2022, during a ceremony at the Chillicothe Correctional Center.
