Hannah Ferrier made a special return to the yachting world as she joined Chief Stew Aesha Scott’s bachelorette festivities during Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11, Episode 12.

The former chief stew departed Below Deck Med after five seasons in 2020, and was the first to admit her life on dry land looks much different today. “My life has done an entire 180 since you last saw me,” the Below Deck Med alum shared with producers during the Aug. 24 episode. “I got married. We bought a house. I had my beautiful daughter Ava.”
Hannah’s also been busy with her career since 2020, using her chief stew knowledge to create a super yacht training academy, which she recently announced was shutting down. She now “spills the tea at sea” as part of City Cruises Live, where she hosts nights aboard yachts answering questions about her life as a yachtie. Hannah was just joined for a San Francisco cruise by Below Deck Down Under chief stew Daisy Kelliher, and Hannah and Southern Charm’s Austen Kroll recently announced they’d be cruising in New York City next month.

After departing Below Deck Med, Hannah welcomed her daughter Ava with her then-boyfriend Josh Roberts in October 2020. Hannah shared more about her new partner during an interview at that time with Bravo Insider, and revealed Josh is a Scotland native who works in commercial real estate. She described him as a “very private” and “low-key” person.
Just weeks after the birth of Ava, Hannah announced she and Josh were engaged, and the two tied the knot in a beachside ceremony in Sydney, Australia in March 2022. Hannah wore a princess-style custom gown designed by Velani as she walked down the aisle.

Hannah Ferrier reveals what she misses about yachting
As Hannah and her old Below Deck Med Season 4 Sirocco interior team — Aesha and Anastasia Surmava— partied in Croatia during the Aug. 24 episode, Hannah admitted she was shocked by the dance moves and antics of some of the current Akira One crew.
“I know I’ve been out of the scene for a while, but these new yachties, they need to be locked in a zoo and studied,” she candidly commented to producers.
Although Hannah left yachting on difficult terms in Season 5 after being fired mid-charter season by Captain Sandy Yawn, she revealed there are still aspects of life at sea she longs for. As she put it, “The one thing I miss about yachting is you just form these bonds that are very hard to find in other places in your life.”

On the other hand, Hannah listed many more things she hasn’t grieved since going back to dry land. “What I don’t miss is the hours, the small bunks, having no choice about what you eat, the hierarchy,” she detailed, and then joked, “Oh my gosh, I have so many more things that I don’t miss than I do miss!”
