Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – Highlander star Christopher Lambert collapsed at a fan convention and had to be taken out of the venue in an ambulance.
As Steel City Con organizers initially announced on Facebook, the 69‑year‑old actor had to leave the event due to a “personal issue.”
According to People, Lambert suffered a medical emergency and was taken by ambulance to a clinic.
“Christopher was feeling a little overheated and dehydrated. He had to sit down, but he is doing great today,” organizers said. Lambert has since recovered.

The French‑American actor is expected to appear later this August at Fan Expo Chicago and the Mad Monster Expo in North Carolina.
Back in March 2025, Lambert had to cancel a scheduled appearance at Sweden’s Sci‑Fi World Festival after he fell down a hotel stairwell and injured his back.
Lambert rose to fame in 1984 with films such as Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, The Sicilian, and Knight Moves. He is best known for his role as Connor MacLeod in the fantasy classic Highlander.
“As an actor, filming and promoting his films are an absolute priority and has always been, and while he has the highest respect for people organizing events and fans who attend,” Lambert’s spokesperson said in a statement to Nine.com.au.
The rep added, “Unfortunately, this time he will not be able to attend the comic con.”
