BERWYN, Ill. (TCD) — A 46-year-old woman is in custody on suspicion of kidnapping a 36-year-old car salesman and fatally shooting him in February.
Chicago Police allege Rosie Chavez fatally shot a 35-year-old man, identified by the Chicago Sun-Times as Crisoforo Osorio-Gonzalez, on Feb. 10 in the 3600 block of West 26th Street. Police reportedly found the victim dead on Feb. 13 in a Little Village alley.
Further investigation revealed Chavez allegedly kidnapped Osorio-Gonzalez, a Rockford car salesman, during a test drive before killing him.
Police arrested Chavez on March 22 at around 11:18 a.m. in the 2600 block of South Ridgeland Avenue. She faces one felony count of first-degree murder and one felony count of kidnapping –– force or threat of force.
Chavez remains held in Cook County Jail without bond, and she is scheduled to appear in court on April 10.
