“You’re really getting these real-life moments, real-life conversations, real-life struggles, and being able to see different spots in New York, which we don’t get to show you often.”
Kyle is excited to fill in the gaps for longtime fans that were “glossed over” on Summer House. “In The City gives us the perfect opportunity to expand on our city life,” he said. “That’s our friends, that’s our day to day, that’s the kind of constant balance between work and play.”
That expansion comes with added pressure, which Kyle certainly felt during filming what he called “the most challenging year of my life.”
“Normally, I like to say I film in my spare time, but the fall is when I catch back up and get my business back on track,” he shared. “Well, the business was in a tough spot, and knowing that I was doing back-to-back TV shows, I was just… a step away from a mental breakdown for about five months.”
Why the stakes are higher than ever on In The City
Shifting focus from the messiness of partying to the complications of adulthood, In The City focuses on “that next chapter of life,” Lindsay explained. “We are grown up. We started Summer House 10 years ago, and a lot happens in 10 years. You literally watched me grow up in my entire 30s on Summer House, and now I have a baby. Now I’m trying to really figure out those big life adult decisions that we have to make. The stakes are higher. We are trying to really figure out where our futures are going in a real way.”
“This show is different in a lot of ways,” added Amanda. “It’s not really about hooking up and making out and partying. It’s real-life relationship problems and obstacles and conversations… You’re getting to focus on different couples in different parts of their relationship. No one’s going through the same thing, and I think it’s just a great example of New York City, that everyone you pass is like going through something different.”
For Kyle, the New York-ness of the show is part of what makes it unique. “Other parts of the country can’t even fathom how you haven’t started a family in your 40s, or how you’re single in your 30s or… you don’t yet own a home,” he explained. “That’s New York City in a nutshell… I think what people can kind of look forward to [on In The City] is a real glimpse into what it’s like to be adulting and figuring your s–t out, whether that’s work, or your relationship, your marriage, or people taking that next step, starting a family.”
Andrea, who stepped away from filming Summer House when his wife, Lexi, came into his life, is excited to return to the group as a part of a married couple. “Everybody’s trying to navigate this new chapter,” Andrea shared. “[Lexi and I are] slightly younger than a lot of our friends, but at the same time, we’re in the same phase, so it’s nice to comfort each other, learn from each other, and support each other.”
Summer House alum Danielle felt her “worlds colliding” in this new series. “It’s actually really cool to see some of your friends who haven’t been on TV yet [and] see them on camera and see them engage,” she shared.
This time, she’s returning to filming with a new perspective. “We’re such an authentic friend group, you care about resolving things,” Danielle said. “No matter how much drama there’s gonna be, there’s always a resolution somewhere.”
What to know about the newcomers on the cast of In The City
Eion Heavy and Danielle Olivera
After years of knowing each other socially, Danielle and Eion took their connection to a deeper level. “We met a long time ago. We both moved to New York around the same time,” Eion recalled. “We’ve had similar experiences in our early twenties growing up in the city.”
Though they shared mutual friends and would frequent the same parties, Eion eventually moved to Miami. The pair reconnected after Eion, who recently launched a hotel tech startup, returned to NYC.
“Now it’s been nine months, but it feels like it’s going on five to ten years, which is a great feeling,” he shared. “We just moved in together, so that’s fun.”
He’s enjoying bonding with Danielle’s friends, as well. “I didn’t really know many of the group. It was Danielle’s friend group before. So it was nice to get to know everybody [and] understand how the group ticks,” he said. “It’s a great group. [It’s] very diverse in what people do and in every walk of life.”
Lexi Sundin and Andrea Denver
Formerly a full-time model, that path “didn’t fulfill me completely,” Lexi explained. “I decided to go back to school. I got a degree in interior design, and that’s what I do now full-time. I freelance and I have my own company. It keeps me busy, and I love being creative.”
After tying the knot in 2024, Lexi and Andrea are looking forward o the future. “We’re in a very exciting chapter of our life where we’re figuring out our next steps and discussing starting a family,” Lexi shared. “[It’s] definitely very exciting and something we’re really looking forward to, but it’s honestly nerve-racking because we don’t know what to expect.”
After meeting the group years ago through Andrea, Lexi has had time to form her own bonds. “We’ve had so many great experiences with them all. We had so many of them at the wedding — we had Kyle, Danielle, Lindsay — and it was so special having them fly out to Italy and be a part of that,” she said. “It’s been really great meeting Kenny and Whitney as well. I feel like I relate a lot to Whitney on these next chapters of her life and this big move.”
Gavin Moseley
Though he’s a new face to Bravo viewers, Gavin has longstanding connections within the group. “I’ve been friends with Kyle the longest… I met him in 2004. We went to college together for one year. I was a freshman, and he was a sophomore, and we were instant friends,” he shared. “I’ve known Yvonne for ten years. I’ve known Kenny since 2008… There’s definitely a lot of history for better or for worse.”
Though his professional life is thriving, he’s been less lucky in love. “I went to the Cornell Hotel School. I always knew what I wanted to do, and I opened up my first restaurant bar in 2014, and now we have five of them in Boston, New York, and South Florida,” he said. “My dating relationship is a disaster. I have a lot of fun, but it’s not fulfilling right now.” Still, he’s hopeful, declaring, “2026 is the year that I am going to find love.”
Georgina Ferzli
Georgina is a dermatologist who runs two NYC practices. “I focus on cosmetics: mostly lasers, fillers, Botox, [and] body contouring,” she explained. “And I’m launching a skincare line this year.”
Her home life is equally busy, as she’s “navigating single motherhood after a painful split,” her official cast bio states. “I have two kids—they’re feral animals,” she joked to Bravo Insider. “My son turned 3 last week. My daughter will be 2 in a couple of months. So they’re really close in age. And my dog just turned 5.”
She first met Lindsay as a patient in her dermatology practice. “I had no idea she was on TV,” Georgina recalled. “One of the times she came in, she was my last patient. We went out, and we got drinks. Then we were just friends from there, and we became best friends after we both became mothers. That’s when it went from friendship to best friendship.”
Katie Arundel
Katie is in merchandising, working for a company that makes custom rugs. “I pick out the rugs, the assortment, [and] make sure the product’s looking good,” she explained. “It’s really fun.”
She first met her husband, Matt, who’s originally from the U.K., on Bumble. Now, the Brooklyn-based couple has been married for nearly two years. “We’re navigating kids. We’re navigating a house,” she shared. “We just finished renovating [our] home.”
Her history with Amanda goes way back. “We’ve known each other since the third grade and have been best friends forever,” Katie explained. She’s also very close with Danielle, whom she met through Amanda.
Whitney Fransway and Kenny Martin
Originally from Minnesota and most recently living in Los Angeles, Whitney moved to NYC this past fall. “I am an influencer. I’ve worked in social media for nine years now,” she explained. “So, I was hoping to expand my career on the East Coast.”
Inspired by her own struggle with food allergies, she also started a food brand, Witty’s, that uses “really clean ingredients” to make a popped sorghum snack as a “better-for-you” alternative to popcorn, she explained.
She met her boyfriend, Kenny, on a previous trip to New York. “We actually matched on Raya,” she recalled. “It was a slow start, but then it was a really steady kind of love.”
After 15 or so years on Wall Street, Kenny decided to leave that career behind. “I started my own private equity real estate investment company,” he shared. “I also do a good amount of venture capital investing on the side.” In fact, he’s an investor in some of Gavin’s bars as well as Kyle’s brand, Loverboy.
“I met Kyle maybe 10 plus years ago,” Kenny shared. “We had a bunch of mutual friends, so our paths crossed a lot, and then we kind of just started hanging.” He’s also close with Gavin.
“Whitney and I are in a really exciting phase or chapter in our life,” he shared. “She just moved across the country and moved in. We are in a bit of a honeymoon phase because we’re just really infatuated. But it’s also like we’re being very intentional and taking big steps in our relationship with the mindset of building a life together. And the first step is kind of sharing a home and building a home together.”
Yvonne Najor and Nick Barber
Nick, who has a modern furniture business in Brooklyn, has called NYC home for the last 15 years. “Sometimes it feels like 100 years, sometimes it feels like I just got here,” he joked. “Never a dull moment.”
His wife, Yvonne, has worked in marketing for experiential events and recently started her own boutique agency. “We’re both such hard workers, and we’re both so committed to our careers,” she shared.
They’re also deeply in love with their 60-pound American Staffordshire Terrier named Jackson. “He really is our baby,” Yvonne added.
Nick knew Kyle even before he met Yvonne. “Kyle was roommates with a friend of mine in New York, and I just met him at their apartment one time,” he recalled. “I think we’re both the same [today] as when we first met: goofy, fun-loving guys.” The pair is also closely connected to Gavin, whom Nick knows through mutual friends from Boston, and Yvonne met through the hospitality industry.
Yvonne first met Lindsay years ago at an event she organized, but they didn’t become super close until later. “I was actually good friends with two of her roommates, and then Lindsay [and I] became best friends,” she recalled. “The roommates kind of became secondary to our relationship, and the rest is history.”
“It’s not unusual for me to come home from work, and Lindsay and Yvonne are watching Lindsay on Summer House on our couch,” Nick added. Soon, though, that routine will have a new show in the rotation.
