Congrats are in order for In The City‘s Whitney Fransway and Kenny Martin, who are officially engaged. Kenny asked Whitney to marry him during a vacation in Italy on Sept. 19, and now the couple is sharing all about this next chapter in their relationship.
The couple confirmed their engagement to People, revealing that the proposal took place during their Italian vacation, with Whitney telling the publication that she was not expecting the proposal. “I was in complete shock, shaking and crying, but it was the easiest ‘yes’ for me,” she said. “I feel so seen and supported with Kenny.”

According to People, Kenny popped the question with an engagement ring featuring an elongated cushion-shaped diamond on a gold band designed by jeweler Material Good. “[It] couldn’t be more me! It’s the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen,” she said. “I can’t stop staring at it.”

He said at the time, “I think we’ve talked about it a lot. Literally, all of her friends are pregnant. Our goal is to have two, maybe three, before 40. She just turned 35. We’ve got a 5-year plan. And I think that’s very, very achievable.”
