Jax took to Instagram on Monday, May 18, where he posted a series of photos and videos of himself running in a 5K for Mental Health Awareness Month. In the pictures, Jax can be seen staring at a lake, posing in front of the finish line, hanging out with the runners, smiling with his medal from the race, and running in the marathon. He then took to the caption of the post, where he opened up about the marathon, his sobriety, and his mental health.

“This week has been a full circle moment for me,” he wrote. “Late last summer, I checked myself back into treatment for 90 days to focus on my recovery and mental health. This week, I came back as an alumni for their 5K run in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. This journey hasn’t been easy…but it’s been worth it and I’m very grateful to be celebrating 1.5 years sober this week.”
