Kelsey Swanson is opening up about where she stands with her ex-boyfriend and her current boyfriend. The Real Housewives of Rhode Island cast member split from her ex after 10 years of being in a relationship, and is revealing how he’s still involved in her life today.
During RHORI Season 1, Episode 6, Kelsey admitted that her ex-boyfriend still pays for her health insurance and her car insurance. She later appeared on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island After Show after the episode where she opened up about this arrangement. “I feel like the amount of time we spent together through the good and the bad, it’s just, it’s warranted,” she explained. “He’s a good guy.”
“He said, ‘However, I can help you, I will.’ And it’s just like I didn’t say, ‘Yeah, bro, you’re going to pay for my rent now because I’m saying see you later.’ That’s not how the relationship was. It was cordial, it was amicable, and he wanted to help me,” she continued.
“We still love each other, we still care about each other. It’s like you’ve never dated a good guy if he didn’t offer to help you get on your feet after a breakup,” she added.

Kelsey dished on her relationship with Bill in an interview with BravoTV.com, where she revealed how they met. “We actually grew up together,” she said. “I’ve known him since the 7th grade, and he was actually one of my first crushes. We kind of saw each other here and there in high school, but always had different friend groups. Eventually, we connected a couple years ago, and kind of stayed connected ever since.”
“He’s very, very generous and kind and sweet — and probably loves me more than anyone I’ve ever met, other than my parents,” she added.

In the same interview with BravoTV.com, Kelsey shared more details on what led to her split from her ex. “At the age of 30, I made the hard decision to do what’s best for me to find somebody who wants to get married and have kids and wants to grow with me,” she admitted.
“It was probably one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make in my life, where the first step is always the hardest,” she continued. “Deciding to put my faith in the unknown and to just put my faith in the possibility of being married and having kids one day is what drove me to leave, I guess. Or putting that as a priority in my life.”
