Knicks star wages war with the Swifties after calling Taylor Swift the team’s “fakest” fan

New York, New York – New York Knicks player Tyler Kolek is facing the wrath of the Swifties after he dragged Taylor Swift as the NBA team’s “fakest” fan.

The drama began with a recent NBA 2K TikTok livestream, where Tyler and teammate Deuce McBride were asked who the “fakest celebrity” Knicks fan was.

Tyler quickly claimed that famous fans tend to be “performative” because they “just want to be seen.”

He then name-dropped Taylor Swift as a possible example, and Deuce said he agreed.

“I don’t know if I’ve seen her at any other games,” Tyler said, referring to the 36-year-old’s appearance at Game 4 of the NBA Finals back in June.

Deuce then quipped that “Swifties [are] not gonna like that answer,” and he was certainly right!

On social media, the pop star’s loyal fans immediately took aim at Tyler over the dig.

“imagine thinking Taylor Swift doesn’t have much better things to do than attending a game to see you even tho you didn’t even play, the audacity of narcissist men,” one fan wrote on X.

“i love my team but absolutely not….” a Swiftie said, while another joked, “Ooooh he just cursed the Knicks.”

Tyler did acknowledge that Taylor might have “a lot going on so she can’t come all the time,” but still claimed it was “a little performative.”

As many fans pointed out online, the Grammy winner has appeared at several New York Knicks games over the years, going as far back as the early 2010s.

Of course, Taylor also tied the knot with Travis Kelce at the team’s home arena, Madison Square Garden, in July.
