As Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula separated during the fall of 2025, questions lingered between them on how they each felt about their marriage—and each other. When the two went out on a date night during In The City Season 1, Episode 4, Kyle bluntly asked Amanda, “Do you feel like you’re in love with me?”

“Yes, that’s why I’m doing this,” Amanda explained of her decision to move out of her shared apartment with Kyle and into her own place. She questioned him back: “Are you even still in love with me?”
Although Kyle answered, “Of course I love you,” Amanda questioned his sincerity. “I’m a f—king catch,” she pointed out to him, and he admitted, “You’re still a catch,” leading Amanda to reply, “I want you to treat me like that.”
She continued, “So when we spend this time apart, I want to feel you’re doing everything you can to fight for this relationship, and that you don’t want to lose me.” Kyle paused for a moment, before answering simply, “Okay.”

Amanda opened up to producers during the June 9 episode about what she was hoping to get out of her separation from Kyle.
“The plan is still the same, which is to try to reconnect again,” she shared, and laid out some guidelines. “We’re not dating other people. We’re not seeing other people. This is to create space to try to actually date each other again.” She added, “In my delusional little mind, I think that this could actually work.”
Amanda informed Kyle during their date that she’d received the keys to her new apartment, and was moving within the week.
“Does it feel weird?” he asked, and she admitted it was complicated. “Yeah, this hasn’t been, like, an easy decision for me to make. The reason that I feel like I’m able to get through it is because I’m really hoping that this move is going to make a shift in our relationship,” she told him. “No one that I’ve talked to has had a negative reaction to it.”

Amanda then laid out “rules” for their separate living, including the fact that Kyle would not have a key to her place. But Kyle asked to be included in the decision making.
“Speak to me like we’re making decisions together, not that you’ve already made up your mind. That’s all I’m asking,” he requested. “Whether it’s like, the rules, the keys, the this, the that.”
As Amanda outlined more rules, including, “You’re not single. I’m not single,” Kyle raised his hand to show off his wedding ring. “Still got my wedding band on,” he told her.
When she raised her own hands to show off an empty ring finger, Kyle commented, “What the s—t is that?” but Amanda defended herself by saying, “I don’t have any jewelry on.”
After Amanda asked Kyle for his “thoughts on this” Kyle inquired, “Are we gonna try to have like a date night?”
“I feel like we should be at each other’s places at least two times a week,” she answered, and added, “We still have to go to therapy.”
She later confided in him, “My biggest fear is losing you. And that’s scary. And I get frustrated with how badly I want it to work.”
Where do Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke stand today?
Much has changed since that conversation, including Kyle and Amanda’s announcement of their split in January 2026 and Amanda’s announcement of her relationship with West Wilson in March 2026.
As far as where Amanda and Kyle stand, the two posed and took photographs together during the In The City premiere in May. Kyle defended his decision to appear with Amanda during his Instagram stories after the premiere party, and brushed off fan criticism.
“Guys, with all due respect, we’re all adults here, and we all showed up to a premiere party,” he said. “And yes, Amanda did not want to come. And I convinced her to come. We took a photo together. Grow the f–k up.”

Kyle’s admitted he’s trying to take “the high road” when he appeared on the Trading Secrets podcast on May 11, and added, “I still have so much love for Amanda.” He also revealed he’s supported Amanda amid the backlash of her relationship with West.
Kyle has also been rumored to be moving on romantically himself, and he revealed more about what really happened with Southern Charm’s Salley Carson and The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King.
