“It was a long time coming. But this felt very natural,” Kyle told Bravo Insider at Bravo Fan Fest 2026 in October. “Just to be on the boat as guests being taken care of was absolutely amazing.”
What was the Summer House cast like as charter guests, though? “I think collectively we were good guests,” Kyle said. “I mean, I think it’d be a little embarrassing if we were high maintenance, ’cause ultimately we’re just normal people. But no, you’ll see there was good chemistry between us and the crew.”

How did the Summer House and Below Deck Med crossover come about?
Carl told Bravo Insider that he and his castmates embarked on a Below Deck Med charter to celebrate Lindsay Hubbard‘s 40th birthday. “Lindsay, Kyle, and I over the years have always been like, ‘We should go on a yacht and do something.’ But, we probably couldn’t have afforded it anyway cause it’s not a cheap endeavor, and our summers are always busy and crazy,” he explained. “So, it kind of came together very luckily, and then I know that having a big milestone event was another big reason — the core trio, back at it again.”
There’s also the fact that, “Lindsay, being from Florida, loves boating,” Carl continued. “Her father is a big fisherman, her family loves boating, and it was something that her energy was driving, that kind of idea. So we were all like, ‘What? Yeah let’s do it.'”
Carl Radke and Captain Sandy Yawn’s connection, explained
It also helped that Carl is close friends with Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy Yawn, who is sober, just like him. “I adore Captain Sandy,” Carl told Bravo Insider. “She’s an inspiration to me and I consider her a hero in the sobriety world just ’cause of how powerful and amazing her story is. And she’s helped a lot of people, and she’s been so kind to me.”
“So to be able to spend time on the boat with an iconic captain, but also personally connect with her, on so many levels, it’s massive,” he concluded. “We connect on a deeper level. She’s so lovely.”
