From Loverboy’s financial crisis to his crumbling marriage, Kyle Cooke’s multiple stressors finally reached what he described as a “breaking point” during the final weekend of Summer House Season 10.Â
Following his heated fight with Carl Radke in Episode 15, Kyle tearfully opened up more than ever about his difficult summer with various castmates, beginning with Lindsay Hubbard and Ben Waddell. For starters, Kyle revealed that Ciara Miller had, earlier that day, suggested that he and Amanda Batula test out a one-month trial separation, hence his short fuse at dinner.
“I just feel attacked,” Kyle tearfully explained. “I’m being blamed for f–king everything. I’m in such a frickin’ vulnerable, sensitive spot. … And it didn’t take much to just, like, f–kin’ rock my world because I’m a f–kin’ mess.”

When Lindsay advised him that he needed to “work on [his] reactions,” in particular how he spoke to Amanda, he further shared, “I just feel like she’s deserted me, if I’m being honest.”
Lindsay, meanwhile, countered that Amanda might also feel “abandoned” when Kyle travels or stays out late for his DJ gigs, but he pushed back on her assertion. “Well, no sex for seven years and no attention and no friendship and no partnership will probably wear someone down,” Kyle responded. “I just don’t know what to do anymore.”
After Lindsay eventually left the conversation, Kyle, later, elaborated to Ben, “I just wish I could f–king control my emotions better. I just feel like I’m f–kin’ drowning.”
Kyle Cooke tearfully unpacked his issues with Amanda Batula’s to Carl Radke
The tears flowed again later when Kyle and Carl made up from their earlier drama. From Kyle’s perspective, Amanda’s behavior during the dinner argument, which had sparked amidst talk of him going all in on his DJ career, had become par for the course in their marriage.
“I’m taking bullets, and Amanda was eating it up,” Kyle described. “I can’t even remember the last time she stood up for me.”
What’s more, Kyle claimed that not only had he and Amanda discussed his upcoming gig in Las Vegas that created an uproar around the table, but she failed to clarify the “misunderstanding” that it was a one-night job, rather than a full residency, as several of their housemates believed to be the case. Either way, Carl noted that his going away for work seemed to “bother” Amanda.

“I don’t think it does,” Kyle replied. “I think she loves when I leave. Yeah. I think she f–king can’t stand me.”
He went on to cite examples of when he returns home, whether he’s been gone for a day or a week, Amanda never greets him with any sort of affection or asks him a single question about his trips. “It is so beyond people’s comprehension of, like, what’s going on,” Kyle insisted, just prior to recapping his and Ciara’s talk about him and Amanda separating.
“I’m just trying to keep a f–kin’ happy face,” Kyle admitted to Carl, through tears. “I’ve just been feeling so f–king like a mess all summer because I just feel like my life is falling apart.”
Kyle Cooke vents more about Amanda Batula not having his back on Summer House
After squashing his beef with Carl, Kyle apologized to Amanda. At the time, she explained to him that her issue was “not even about the DJing stuff” at that point.
“Yeah, well, I don’t know what it is about anymore,” Kyle said. “It’s just been a long time [since] I’ve felt like we’re on the same team. It wears me down. It hurts.”
Amanda, for her part, told Kyle that she needed “some time” to think things over, and so he left her alone to chat more with Ciara and Mia Calabrese. As he made his way back to his room, Kyle vented more aloud, but seemingly to nobody in particular.
“I don’t know how I’ve been going years on years on years of feeling like my wife doesn’t have my back,” Kyle declared. “It’s a horrible feeling. Sometimes I think she purposely f–kin’ roots for anybody against me.”
He continued, “I don’t think she f–kin’ wants a f–kin’ single thing to do with me. And I think she’s too  f–kin’ scared to f–kin’ get out of it ’cause she can’t do anything herself. That’s what I’m starting to think. I just can’t f–kin’ do this anymore, man.”
