Kyle Cooke is sharing a major update on his divorce from Amanda Batula after announcing their separation in January 2026. The Summer House cast member and his ex have been seeing other people and have made a little bit of headway with their divorce proceedings amid it all.
The Loverboy founder spoke with E! News at Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea awards on Tuesday, Oct. 6, where he opened up about where their divorce stands today. “It’s been a little slow going. She was busy; I was busy,” he told the outlet. “We’re still working on the details of that.”
He continued, explaining why he and his ex might still be dragging their feet in their divorce. “It’s never fun to have those formal talks, and maybe there’s a side of us that put it off a little bit. But, yeah, we will eventually make it formal and sign on the dotted line,” he added.

He further admitted to the outlet that filming Summer House Season 11 had been different for him following their split. “I had a lot of fun. I feel like we returned to the roots of the show to some extent. Everyone entered single, which is a first,” he said.
“I carried a lot of stress for these last many years. It truly felt like a weight had been lifted and I could let my hair down. Well, I don’t have a mullet anymore,” he added. “But I could just be myself and not have to apologize for anything.”

He spoke with Bravo Insider in August 2026, where he admitted that he had other priorities over the summer. “I haven’t really gone headfirst into dating,” he said. “I think that I kind of needed to give it some time and focus on my business. Try to start to better understand what I’m looking for. I had my fun. And I think I really needed to have my fun. And I’m glad I didn’t rush into anything because it was an incredible summer.”

During Part 1 of the In The City Season 1 reunion, Amanda, who is dating West Wilson, admitted that she has no ill will toward her ex-husband. “Kyle’s been the best,” she said during the episode, which aired in July 2026. “I am eternally grateful for Kyle. I think it just shows how much love we do have for each other, and I think it’s something we’ve made clear from the very beginning. Unfortunately, we could not communicate; we could not get along in our marriage. But that doesn’t take away from the friendship and the love we’ve had for each other this entire time.”
