Portia Umansky is officially moved into college, thanks to the help of her mom, Kyle Richards; her dad, Mauricio Umansky; and her older sisters. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter is the youngest of Kyle and Mauricio’s daughters and is ready to embark on a major chapter in her life at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Kyle and her daughters Sophia Umansky and Farrah Brittany took to their Instagram Stories where they documented the emotional move-in process. Although the RHOBH mom’s second-oldest daughter, Alexia Umansky, was absent, Sophia and Farrah did everything they could to ensure that Portia had a seamless move in.
Farrah, who is currently pregnant with her first child, took to her Instagram Story earlier this week where she snapped a photo of their family hanging out at the airport before they arrived in Boulder. Once they were in Colorado, Portia was greeted with a basket of merchandise, provided by The Agency (Mauricio’s real estate firm)’s Boulder office. The team gifted her a hat and other sweet items to really make her feel at home.
But Portia’s family members really helped her feel at home. Farrah took to her Instagram Story where she documented Sophia making Portia’s bed and putting “so much effort into every little detail” of the room, while Kyle, who sported an Agency hat and Boulder t-shirt, supervised the move in. Farrah was also on hand to supervise, laying on Portia’s roommate’s bed and resting.

Once they were finished moving Portia into her room, Sophia took photos of the adorable space, capturing it in all of its glory. She grabbed an image of Portia’s bed, complete with a white duvet cover, light brown blanket, as well as some brown and black throw pillows. They also adorned the bed with some really fun throw pillows, including a leopard one and a pillow with the words “brunette bombshell” embroidered on it, in addition to her stuffed animals. “Bestie,” Sophia wrote over one photo of her and Portia sitting on her bed together.

After officially getting Portia fully moved into her dorm room, Sophia admitted that she was very sad leaving her sister behind. She snapped a photo of her crying in the car back to her hotel room before admitting she was “soo not OK.”
Sophia contrasted her reaction with Portia’s reaction to moving her into college in 2018. Nearly 10 years ago, Kyle and Portia moved Sophia into her first dorm room at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. resulting in a very emotional goodbye from Portia.

Kyle spoke with Bravo Insider earlier this month where she admitted that she was also feeling emotional about Portia moving away. “I’m really prepping myself psychologically because she is my baby, the youngest,” The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th cast member explained. “Thank God I still have Sophia living at home with me.”
Although the RHUGT: Roaring 20th mom admitted that this was “really scary” for her, she also noted that it was “exciting.”
“I’m just trying to focus on the exciting part, and I’m grateful that she’s not a 5-hour flight away from me like her sisters were,” she said.
