Kyle Richards Reveals Text From Mauricio on 30th Anniversary

In The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th preview above, Kyle Richards breaks down in tears due to a text message she received from her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky. 

“Today’s my 30-year anniversary,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member reveals to The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson. “It just makes me sad, you know? He sent me a text and it just set me off.”

Kyle goes on to reveal the emotional words Mauricio said in his text: “It said, ‘Today’s always such a hard day,’ and ‘I love you.’ He said, ‘I don’t know how we got here.’ That’s what he said.”

She reflects, “I thought we were stronger than that, you know? I really had thought that.”

Vicki admits she had the same thoughts on the state of Kyle’s marriage ahead of their separation. “As an outsider? I thought so too,” Vicki states. 

Vicki then opens up to producers with her sympathy for Kyle on her milestone wedding anniversary. “My heart is breaking for Kyle because they’ve got everything that everybody’s looking for. And 30 years of marriage, and all the sudden it’s dissolving?” she wonders.

Kyle reveals one of the more difficult aspects on her estrangement from Mauricio: the public reaction. “The thing that bothered me the most, honestly, was people saying that we gave them hope that true love existed. And now, that went out the window for them,” she confesses to producers. “But, I understand people thinking like that.”

Although Kyle and Mauricio had been separated for years when RHUGT: Roaring 20th was filmed, Kyle admits that the idea of being apart from Mauricio isn’t any easier to swallow.

“I mean, twenty years from now, when you’re older, it’s going to be [your 50 year anniversary],” Vicki points out in the preview, and Kyle asks, “Is it still going to bother me then?”

“Of course it is! It still bothers me with Donn,” Vicki answers, referring to her ex-husband, Donn Gunvalson. She filed for divorce from Donn in 2010, after more than 15 years of marriage.

Still, Kyle remains hopeful her pain would lessen over time. “Once we’re divorced I would hope it wouldn’t bother me,” she remarks. 

However, Vicki comments, “I’ve been divorced from Don since 2014. Every time a birthday comes up, or an anniversary,  I think what happened?”

Kyle admits Vicki’s words leave her with a lot to consider. “I mean, when I hear Vicki say that the pain still lives within her, it scares me. I wanna be past this,” she confesses to producers.

Where does Kyle Richards’ relationship with Mauricio Umansky stand now?

As Kyle and Mauricio approach three years of estrangement, she recently shared new details with Bravo Insider about where they stand today. “We get along great,” Kyle revealed. “We still went to Aspen with our daughters for the Fourth of July.”

The parents marked several major milestones together with their children in the last few months, including Alexia Umansky turning 30 years old in June. Their youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, also graduated from high school in June.

Kyle and Mauricio are also set to become first-time grandparents when Farrah Brittany welcomes her first baby in November.  

“You are gorgeous and I’m so happy for all of us and this baby is going to be so loved,” Mauricio wrote on Farrah’s post announcing the big news. “I can’t wait wooohooo.”

Although Kyle is single as she lives apart from Mauricio, she recently shared with Bravo Insider there’s no major news when it concerns her romantic life.

“There’s no update,” she confirmed. “It’s boring to hear about. It’s too boring to talk about.”
