Lindsay Hubbard is sharing new details about how filming In The City Season 1 was different from Summer House. Lindsay has appeared on all ten seasons of Summer House, but had to adjust to documenting this new chapter in her life on the new Bravo series, In The City. Lindsay recently admitted that it wasn’t easy.Â
“It was a big shock to the system,” she said in an interview with Vulture. “For Summer House, we film on the weekends, we’re in the Hamptons, there’s surveillance cameras everywhere, we’re throwing parties, we’re drinking rosé, and it’s more chill. Whereas In The City is filmed more in line with most other Bravo shows. For the first month of filming, I had to rewire my entire brain of ten years of filming Summer House to a different format. It’s really about our day-to-day lives and what we experience as these adults trying to make big life decisions.”

Lindsay further shared how In The City is different from Summer House in a video posted to Bravo’s Instagram account in late April. “Summer House is so fun. We’re in the Hamptons, partying, secluded to the house, whereas now we’re just in the next chapter of our lives,” she explained. “It is all the good, the bad, the ups, the downs, the challenges that we face trying to figure out how to be real-life adults.”
Lindsay Hubbard teases her friendship with Amanda Batula on In The City Season 1
Lindsay previously appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 28, where she shed more light on the process of filming In The City. She admitted that she had gotten close with Amanda Batula during the first season of the new show.
“We did a lot of filming for In The City right after Summer House, and I had Amanda’s back,” she explained on WWHL. “We were basically best friends while filming. I got very, very, very, very close to Amanda while filming In The City.”

Lindsay Hubbard reflects on how much Summer House has evolved since Season 1
Lindsay also took the time to reflect on how much Summer House has evolved since its first season on the WWHL After Show. “This was like the little show that could,” she stated in the video above.Â
She continued, noting that the belief in the show was what kept it going. “We didn’t know what this would bring, and we didn’t know how many seasons. We thought we were going to get one season,” she noted. “When we started, I just wanted to pay off my student loans. You know who it was? It was all of the executives at Bravo that really loved this show, and they kept it going and waited, and they were like, ‘No, the fans will catch on.’ And like, once the fans catch on, they were like, ‘There we go.'”
