Lindsay Hubbard Opens Up on Being in Mediation With Ex Turner

As Lindsay Hubbard continued to showcase her life as a single mom on In The City, she shared a rare update on her relationship with ex Turner Kufe. More specifically, she revealed that she and Turner were in mediation over how to raise their 1-year-old daughter, Gemma Britt Kufe, at the time.

When castmate Georgina Ferzli stopped by her new apartment for a playdate, Lindsay vaguely mentioned, “Honestly, like, I don’t know how I would have gotten through without you. … I don’t have any, like, other friends that are in similar situations.”

“Over the summer, no one f–king knew about anything I was dealing with that was, like, very serious, like, legal [matters],” she continued. “No one at the f–kin’ summer house is gonna understand. Like, nobody has kids.”

That’s when Georgina asked, “What is going on with mediation?”, and Lindsay admitted, “I don’t know.”

The dermatologist went on to inquire how Lindsay’s ex is “with that stuff,” and whether or not they’d been able to “agree on anything,” specifically mentioning which school Gemma might eventually attend one day.

“We agree on a lot,” Lindsay responded, prompting Georgina to remark, “It’s amazing that you’re supposed to plan 18 years in, like, now.”

Why Linsday Hubbard was in mediation with her ex over Gemma

In a confessional, Lindsay elaborated, “My baby daddy and I are near the end of mediation for Gemma, and it’s been an up-and-down roller coaster. You know, we are making decisions that are very impactful on Gemma’s entire future. So, the sooner we can get through all of the legal stuff, then the easier it will be.”

She continued, “Hopefully, that document is just in a drawer somewhere and doesn’t ever have to be taken out. It can sit in the bottom drawer of my nightstand next to the condoms that are never used. That’s the hope and dream — for the agreement, not the condoms.”

Inside Lindsay Hubbard’s love life on In The City

While getting ready for Whitney Fransway’s “Welcome to New York” party later on, Lindsay told her other close friend Yvonne Najor, “My life the last year has been so ultra serious, and I almost feel like I’m coming out of the other end. Now I can have fun. That’s all I’m interested in.”

Luckily, Andrea Denver had a “little surprise” up his sleeve for Lindsay, and invited his friend Frank to the event, hoping that a love connection might spark between the two. Lindsay, meanwhile, admitted that she thought Andrea’s friend was “so f–king hot,” further commenting to a producer, “It’s been a while since I’ve gotten, like, flustered like this. … I’m, like, sweating a little.”

Lindsay even recruited Yvonne to perform an emergency breath check, noting that she’d been drinking espresso martinis and eating cheese and meats all evening.

Previously, during In The City’s series premiere, Lindsay also opened up about the fact she hadn’t had sex in nine months, at that point. “What I’m worried about is, if I’m ever going to have sex again,” she said, underscoring how unusual the dry spell was for her. “I used to shoot like rainbows and butterflies out of my vagina.”

Lindsay also commented on how her and Turner’s breakup had taken a toll on her sex life: “I probably would have had sex when I got the all clear from my doctor, six weeks after giving birth. But then I got broken up with, and so, it’s been a while — a long while.”

As you wait to see if Andrea’s matchmaking attempt pays off, find out why Lindsay described filming In The City as a “big shock to the system.”
