Liz McGraw is giving a new look into her marriage with Gerry McGraw, following her exit from The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Liz took to social media earlier this week where she celebrated her husband on their wedding anniversary in the sweetest way.
Liz posted a series of photos and videos she took alongside Gerry to Instagram on Sunday, July 5, honoring their bond. In the snapshots, the couple can be seen standing in the spot where they got married, laying down together on a grassy hill, holding each other’s hands, kissing each other’s cheeks, and smiling for the camera. She took to the caption of the post where she reflected on their relationship today.
“Every year we come to the same spot on the hill where we tied the knot…love you more today and every day,” she wrote. She further revealed in their anniversary post from last year that they have been together for more than 20 years, but have been married since 2014. “I wouldn’t have chosen any other people to spend it with! Love you beyond measure,” she wrote in the caption of the 2025 anniversary post.

Liz and Gerry found out that they were related to each other six months into their marriage. Liz opened up about this during RHORI Season 1, Episode 1. “Gerry and I were married about six months, and that was then, you know, the whole ancestry DNA thing was blowing up,” she explained. “I mean, if you look at Gerry and you look at me, no one’s ever gonna say we’re related — but we are related, somewhere down the line.”
All these years later, Gerry and Liz are very happy together living in Rhode Island with their cat, Ganji. Gerry also has three adult daughters from a previous relationship. “When I met Gerry, he told me he had three girls and they were little,” she recalled during the episode. “I was not prepared to be a mom. School, uniforms, hair, baths, lunches. I go to drive away, they’re like, ‘Ahhh! Stop!’ Skyla’s not in the car yet. Skyla’s got one foot in the car.”

Liz McGraw’s statement on her departure after RHORI Season 1
Liz’s anniversary post comes on the heels of her announcement that she was departing RHORI days after the Season 1 reunion concluded. “I’m full of gratitude for the amazing opportunity to appear on this show,” she wrote in a statement posted to Instagram on July 1. “As filming for Season 2 begins, I have made the decision to take a step back and focus on my family, my work, and my passions.”
“The RHORI cast is an amazing group of women who have created something special,” she continued. “I’ll be watching next season, rooting for the continued success of this franchise. For now, I look forward to enjoying this little corner of the world from the other side of the camera.”
