A woman is sitting in a Florida jail for allegedly grabbing her neighbor’s face while futilely demanding sex on early Tuesday morning, but deputies are now also investigating a homicide case after they claim that same neighbor later spotted the woman lurking in his home before he discovered his girlfriend’s grandmother stabbed to death.
Lori Leanne Quinn, 49, faces a count of misdemeanor battery. Deputies have not arrested anyone, including Quinn, in the grandmother’s death. Authorities did not name Quinn as a suspect or person of interest in the homicide.
Authorities peppered the arrest affidavit with quite a few redactions, but all told, it appears the male witness claimed that Quinn, his across-the-street neighbor, had asked him for sex after asking him to come over to her home. He declined, telling her he was in a relationship and did not want sex with her.
“Lori then used both hands to grab [redacted] by his face and attempted to turn his head,” deputies wrote. “[Redacted] pulled away from Lori, told her she was a ‘f—ing weirdo,’ and left her residence.”

He returned to work on his boat with his girlfriend, whose name is redacted in the affidavit.
“[Redacted] stated he owns the residence, but he and [redacted] reside in a boat on the property, [redacted] grandmother, [redacted] resides in the home,” the affidavit stated.
At one point, he and his girlfriend saw Quinn riding her bicycle in the street early that morning, documents said. He heard a thump outside the boat then but found no one when he checked the area, he said, according to documents.
According to the affidavit, he said he saw Quinn approaching the front of his home between 3:30 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. He and his girlfriend got out of the boat to check what Quinn was doing on the property.
He discovered his front door unlocked and saw Quinn through a window in the living room, documents said. The man asked what she was doing and told her to leave the home.
“Lori told him that this was her home,” the documents stated. “He told her it was not and again told her to leave.”
The girlfriend corroborated the man’s account throughout that night.
“As they were exiting, [redacted] told Lori her grandmother was asleep in the home, and she did not want to wake her,” deputies wrote. “Lori left the property and returned to her residence.”
Quinn allegedly left then.
But then they realized the generator to the home had stopped, documents said. He asked his girlfriend to help bring the generator battery into the home, but when they entered, he turned with his flashlight to find his girlfriend’s grandmother lying face up on the living room floor with a wood-handled knife sticking out of her chest.
“[Redacted] told [redacted] to get out of the house before she could see [redacted], told her to call 911, and took her to a friend’s house,” authorities wrote.
Paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene. The unredacted portions of the affidavit do not include her name.
Lt. Todd Olmer, a Lee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, told Law&Crime the investigation remains ongoing. He referred to their social media for what information they could release on the case. A post describes a stabbing homicide on Luloma Lane in the unincorporated community of Bokeelia.
This investigation is now considered a homicide. We can confirm a stabbing. The investigation remains active.

Quinn remains held on a $100,000 bond. Court is set for Dec. 26. This is her seventh arrest in Lee County since 2019, records show. Prior charges include driving with a suspended license, failure to appear for a misdemeanor offense, resisting an officer without violence, and drug possession.
Of those, however, only two ended in guilty adjudications. She pleaded no contest in 2021 to resisting an officer without violence in connection to a traffic stop in which authorities claimed her vehicle’s center and driver-side brake lights were not working. She also pleaded no contest in 2022 to driving with a revoked license.
