Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund’s relationship brings Kristi McBee to tears
The whirlwind romance between Steven Jr. and Allie is still going full steam ahead, as the midseason trailer shows the new couple ring-shopping. Steven, of course, has already asked Allie to live with him and declared his intention to propose to and marry her after only two weeks of dating, though the two split post-filming.
When Steven leaves Missouri to visit his new girlfriend in the Lone Star State, matriarch Kristi admits to a producer, “I am a little anxious on how it’s going with Steven in Texas.”

Later, Steven ponders, “What if I moved to Texas?” and Allie emphasizes, “This is a massive decision.” Cut to Kristi in tears, holding a tissue, just prior to the final image of Steven driving down a dirt road in his pickup truck.
The McBee family prepares for Steve McBee Sr. to report to prison
Emotions are also heightened as the family awaits patriarch Steve McBee Sr. to begin serving his 24-month prison sentence.
“It is the hardest day in my life,” Steven Jr. says, while Jesse adds, “My dad has always been our biggest hope.” After Kristi further comments that she’s “been dreading this moment,” Kacie points out that her and Cole’s daughter, Blair, will be almost three years old by the time Steve Sr. is released from prison after pleading guilty to one count of federal crop insurance fraud.

Drama erupts between Kacie Adkison, Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund amid a new business plan
Elsewhere, a newly engaged Kacie clashes with future brother-in-law Steven over his and Allie’s involvement in her skincare tallow business. “Who’s going to be in charge of the company?” Steven asks Kacie, who responds, “I’m not giving Allie 20 percent.”
He shoots back, “Do you think you’re going to hire me for $15 an hour to build the damn website?” and Kacie is shown crying afterward.
Allie might not be as in the loop on Steven’s plan as it may seem, however. After she and Kacie have a heart-to-heart, Allie remarks, “So then I was just more confused. I was like, ‘Is Steven a liar?'” As Steven assures Allie directly in another clip, “There is absolutely not one single thing that would be inappropriate between Kacie and I.”
Jesse McBee and Alli McBee’s marital issues continue
The first year of Jesse and Alli’s marriage, meanwhile, continues to present them with new challenges as they also navigate first-time parenthood. “From a wife’s perspective, it’s a lot,” Kristi tells her son, encouraging him to “do it for Alli,” though it’s unclear what she’s referring to specifically.
Immediately afterward, however, Jesse appears to fume at his wife, “Keep talking s–t, I dare you. You’re pissing me the f–k off.”
