Mia Calabrese is taking a big step for herself and freezing her eggs following her breakup with her ex-boyfriend, Scott. The NYC real estate agent revealed during Part 1 of the Summer House Season 10 reunion that she had broken up with her ex last year and is making some major changes in her life.
Mia took to Threads earlier this week, where she announced that she had started taking the steps to freeze her eggs. “Day one of freezing my eggs,” she wrote, along with a butterfly emoji.
She had previously opened up about her desire to be a mom during Summer House Season 10, Episode 10, during a conversation with cast members Lindsay Hubbard and Amanda Batula. “I have such a fear that I’m going to be 45, never have kids, have an amazing career, and that will be fine if I didn’t want to have kids. There’s nothing wrong with people who don’t want to have kids. But I know I want that,” she explained, after opening up about the death of her mom and dad. “In some weird way, having a baby would heal me.”
“I feel like I have all this love to give and I don’t have anyone to give it to,” she noted.

Mia was introduced to Summer House by her BFF, Ciara Miller, and shared so much about her personal life with her housemates. She told Us Weekly on May 25 that she was happy to open up about her life and her hardships with her friends and the viewers during her first season.
“I’m an open book with everything,” she explained. “Here’s the thing, I’ve got so many people reaching out to me when I’ve talked about grief and what the experience was like for me, which meant the world to me, that even just a few people felt seen, and so I will always be an open book.”

But filming her first reunion was just a little taxing on her. Mia spoke with E! News on May 25, where she admitted that filming the three-part Summer House Season 10 reunion was something that led her to sleep “for days” in order to recover from it.
“It’s exhausting, like everyone’s putting their hearts on the table, everyone’s saying what their truth is, how they really feel about the situation,” she explained. “And you’re doing it for hours and hours and hours. So I think we were all just exhausted after it.”

Being on Summer House also means that Mia has been expanding her wardrobe since she revealed she’s been out and about more. “I’m definitely going out more, so I’m having to buy fancy or cuter clothes. Because before all this, I was just a real estate agent. I would go to fun events and do certain things, but I was dressing in, like, power suits,” Mia shared with Cosmopolitan. “It’s been so fun because I feel like I’m playing dress-up every day, and I’m just so excited and grateful.”

Mia spoke with The Daily Dish earlier this season, where she opened up about her career in real estate. “I’ve worked really hard to get to where I am, and I started from the bottom, and I’ve worked my ass off for years to get to where I am today,” she explained.
She added, “Everything I’ve had, it’s cause I built it and I’m so proud of myself and my job is — it’s a lot and my career is — it’s intense. And It’s a constant hustle and I work seven days a week, but I’m so incredibly proud of where I am today because I’ve worked so hard for the last six years of my life.”
