A delivery driver in Tennessee arrived late at a middle school and was confronted by an employee before the worker stabbed the victim between the eyes and in the neck with a pen, according to law enforcement.
Braxton Stewart, 36, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. He was booked into the Shelby County Jail on $25,000 bond; jail records show he was released on Friday.

On Thursday morning, Stewart was working at American Way Middle School in Memphis, Tennessee, according to an affidavit of complaint obtained by Law&Crime. The facility is located in the Parkway Village neighborhood in southeast Memphis.
At the same time, authorities say a delivery driver was heading toward the school.
The man “stated that he was late for the delivery,” and when he arrived, he “got into an argument” with Stewart. The defendant apparently pushed the driver in the chest, and the two men “started physically fighting.”
The delivery driver “stated that during the fight,” he was “stabbed with a pen multiple times by Stewart.” Officers with the Memphis Police Department responded to the school at about 9:25 a.m. and saw both the defendant and victim still there.
Officers reported seeing four “puncture wounds” on the victim’s back, one between his eyes, and one to the left side of his neck. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. The court document makes no mention of the victim’s later condition.
Police detained Stewart and took him into custody. He had an arraignment on Monday, and his next court date is scheduled for Aug. 28.
