Mom Sees 2 Sons on Wanted Poster, Turns Them in for Shooting at Cop – Crime Online

Two Tennessee teens were reportedly arrested on Wednesday, a day after they allegedly shot at a police officer.

WMC reported that a Holly Springs police officer tried to pull over a vehicle driving recklessly with its headlights off. A brief chase ensued before a suspect in the car fired two shots and fled, police saaif.

Holly Springs police alerted other agencies about the suspects, who were last spotted in Memphis. A Marshall County sheriff’s deputy eventually spotted the suspects’ vehicle but the suspects had run into the woods, according to WMC.

The news outlet reported that the pair were seen on doorbell surveillance footage shortly after the shooting. Law enforcement released their images to the public — leading the suspects’ mother to turn them in a day later.

“I don’t play no games with them. If you want to do the crime you gotta do the time— Plain and simple,” the teens’ mother told WMC.

The teens, who have not been publicly identified, are charged with aggravated assault on a police officer. WMC reported that a person of interest was interviewed but not charged.
