New York, New York – Hollywood star Selma Blair was arrested after an alleged altercation on a flight from Los Angeles to New York City that left two cabin crew members injured, authorities said Monday.
The Cruel Intentions star was detained at John F. Kennedy Airport after her Delta Airlines flight landed late Sunday following reports of a physically abusive passenger.
Blair, who is 54 years old, was taken to hospital for evaluation along with one of the two injured cabin crew members.
“Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct,” a representative for Blair said.

“Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition.”
The FBI, which is investigating the incident, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
A spokesperson for Delta said the airline “has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.”
TMZ reported that one of the flight attendants sustained a laceration and the other flight attendant sustained a bite. Blair was allegedly put in restraints on the plane and was arrested upon landing. Law enforcement also told TMZ that Blair reportedly kicked a Port Authority officer in the head numerous times in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
Once at the hospital, TMZ reports that Blair allegedly assaulted a nurse, who has pressed charges.
Blair has reportedly been charged with two counts of assault, one on a police officer and another on a nurse.
Blair was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in August 2018, though doctors said she’d been living with the disease for decades.
She’s been in remission since 2021 after getting a stem cell transplant and chemotherapy.
It’s unclear at this time if the on-flight “medical emergency” was related.
