LINCOLN, Neb. (TCD) — A 24-year-old woman is facing an assault charge after she allegedly attacked two women in her apartment, including stabbing one of them below the eye.
According to KOLN-TV, on Sunday, Feb. 11, just after midnight, Lincoln Police Department officers responded to a residence on North 37th Street and Madison Avenue regarding a stabbing. Police located two females, who alleged Tatiana Iniguez beat them after they remarked on how dirty Iniguez’s house was. They reportedly remarked on the lack of cleanliness because two children were living there.
Iniguez allegedly choked one of the victims, then punched the second woman as she tried to rescue her. At one point, Iniguez reportedly picked up a knife and slashed one of the women in the face, causing a 1/2-inch laceration under her eye. The stabbing victim also had defensive marks on her hands.
KOLN reports four children were at home when the fight broke out. Police in the home noticed an “extreme amount” of dog feces and dead mice in the basement, as well as other dirty clothing items.
The children are now reportedly in the custody of a family member.
Lancaster County Department of Corrections records show Iniguez was booked on a charge of second-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
