Next Gen NYC Season 2 After Show Trailer, Premiere Date, How to Watch

The first-ever Next Gen NYC After Show trailer is teasing some big drama ahead in the Big Apple.

Following the Next Gen NYC Season 2 premiere on Wednesday, June 24, viewers can look forward to seeing the cast — including Ariana Biermann, Riley Burruss, Emira D’Spain, Brooks Marks, Ava Dash, Gia Giudice, Georgia McCann, Charlie Zakkour, Shai Fruchter, and Hudson McLeroy, along with new additions Rowan Henchy and Liam Obergfoll — breaking down each episode’s can’t-miss moments.

With several designers and models in their midst, the fashion-forward friend group is naturally kicking off the After Show with, what else, but a fit check. In sizing up each other’s personal style, however, some sartorial shade quickly reveals some surprising feuds within the cast.

Charlie Zakkour and Shai Fruchter on the Next Gen NYC After Show for Season 2

First, Charlie and Shai keep it simple. Clad in jeans, a white shirt, and a jacket, Charlie, for one, jokes that his Maison Margiela sneakers were “beat to s–t,” but he still decided to wear them anyway. A producer, meanwhile, is surprised that Shai wore any shoes at all, referring to his previous barefoot confessional look.

“I’ve worn shoes for every interview now,” Shai, who’s also sporting a piece that he designed himself, responds. “People were a little weirded out by it. Some people liked it too much, I will say. I got some DMs about it.”

The real shade starts, however, when they critique their castmates’ fashion sense. For starters, Charlie declares that “Georgia’s fits are weird.” Shai, meanwhile, chimes in to say that she does have “a good fit on sometimes,” before adding that Brooks “does mog” both of them. He still “wouldn’t shop in his closet” though, joking, “He’s doing the most, in the best way possible.”

Also doing the “absolute most,” according to Charlie, is Riley. He goes on to reveal that he “wouldn’t trade an outfit with Hudson on any given day,” however. Though Shai opines that Hudson “does pick out some cool stuff,” Charlie says, “But then he covers it with also not-cool stuff.”

Finally, Shai concludes, “I think Ava kind of does the low effort but looks good still. … At least it looks low effort, in a good way. Oh, she’s gonna hate that I said that. I meant that as a compliment.”

Hudson McLeroy on the Next Gen NYC After Show for Season 2

Separately, Hudson is quick to defend himself, while also throwing a jab of his own. “Charlie can poke all he wants, but he gets dressed with his eyes closed,” he claps back. “So, I don’t really know how he has any room to talk.”

As for his own fashion evolution, Hudson admits that “loud logos” used to be a staple in his wardrobe. “It’s kind of like Atlanta though,” he explains. “Atlanta is very much logo everything, like monogram everything head to toe. But since I’ve gotten here, [my style] became a lot more muted.”

Hudson also had a last-minute change to his “streetwear” look on the After Show, revealing, “I was gonna show up in a full suit today, but that just didn’t work out because it’s at the dry cleaner.”

Riley Burruss, Emira D’Spain, and Ava Dash on the Next Gen NYC After Show for Season 2

Self-described “corporate baddie” Riley says she puts on the same clothes for work that she would wear outside of the office, recalling how she once wore Balenciaga sweats to a previous internship. Riley also gives a lesson on “Next Gen slang,” describing a corporate baddie as someone who “shows up to their 9 to 5, you know, looking their best, wearing the clothes that they would wear out on the day. And their hair always looks good.”

When Emira, for her part, describes her personal style as giving “evil stepmother,” Ava declares that she may just raid her closet during an upcoming sleepover they have planned. As for Ava’s own fashions, she adds, “I love a timeless, sexy look. Like, I want to be chic, but I still want to be sexy at the same time.”

Just don’t ask Ava to name the Next Gen NYC cast member with the worst style. Referring to the Season 1 moment when she expressed surprise that Ariana was pursuing a career in fashion, Riley quips, “I think Ava is done judging people’s outfits this season.” Ava, meanwhile, adds, “Don’t look at me. I’ve had enough of these styling questions.”

Ariana Biermann, Gia Giudice, and Rowan Henchy on the Next Gen NYC After Show for Season 2

Ariana is the first to call attention to her own “wrinkled-ass dress,” remarking, “Clearly, I don’t own a steamer.” Like Ava, she also wants to raid Emira’s closet, mentioning all of her castmate’s designer purses, shoes, and outfits that literally require a fingerprint to access.

Gia, who admits that she was afraid she was going to “look like a Christmas tree” in her After Show getup, agrees with Ariana, joking that she’s “duplicating her fingerprint to get into that door.”

As for Rowan’s look, the Season 2 newcomer shares that she borrowed her ensemble from her mom, Brooke Shields. “I think we all have the luxury of having mothers with, like, amazing closets and handbags,” she says.

That’s when Ariana reveals that her mom, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak, “doesn’t let me borrow s–t.” Gia, meanwhile, adds that she and her mother, The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice, share the same shoe size, but she’s “a little particular” about what she lets her borrow. “If she hasn’t worn it … no touching it,” Gia explains.

Brooks Marks and Liam Obergfoll on the Next Gen NYC After Show for Season 2

Elsewhere, another Season 2 newbie, Liam, is admittedly “self-conscious” while battling a “man-bulge” issue in his Western-inspired After Show outfit. Brooks assures him that he looks “amazing,” however, describing his aesthetic as “giving sharp cowboy” and reminding him, “It’s better to have one than to not.”

Brooks, for his part, is wearing the same outfit he had on during Riley’s night out in Brooklyn from Season 1. “It’s bold,” he remarks. “But what can I say? Brooks Marks is all about sustainability in fashion.”

The son of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Meredith Marks and Seth Marks is also sporting a new blonde hue. “I feel like, honestly, everything has been looking better with my hair color,” he says, prompting a “supportive” Liam to ask if he’s been “having more fun” as a blonde. As Brooks answers, however, “Um… I feel that same.”

Georgia McCann on the Next Gen NYC After Show for Season 2

Finally, Georgia breaks down her own eclectic fashion choices. “My style pulls from many different references,” she explains. “I like Victorian meets, like, modern New Yorker meets comfortable meets colorful meets all-black.”

Elsewhere in the preview she also gives her own explanation of Shai’s earlier “mogging” reference. By Georgia’s definition, the slang term means “looking at the camera and giving, like, a face,” and she even gives her best demonstration. According to an onscreen graphic, however, the verb means “to outclass” somebody.
